Not very big field, but it is enclosed, so good for anxious dogs to be let of the leash

Very nice enclosed dog park for off lead dogs. Grass cut and kept neat. Only marked down a star as almost every time I have been I’ve had to clean up others dog poo. There are bins provided. I know this isn’t the parks fault, but lazy owners. However it does spoil it for others. There are two bowls for water around the field. I always take a full bottle of water and top them up when I go as they are sometimes empty. But it’s a lovely to be able to walk somewhere enclosed knowing my dog can’t get into trouble, and as it’s an off lead park you know other dogs are going to be friendly.

Not a place for nervous dogs as virtually all dogs are running free and playing with each other. I've seen all sizes of dogs here from chihuahuas to Afghans and have in over 2 years never seen a fight between dogs. The 2 fields are well maintained by the local authorities, grass is cut regularly. Bins are emptied 2/3 times a week. If I had any suggestions they would be :- another bin for dog waste on the other side of the park. And would be a great idea if provision could be made for drinking water for the dogs.

We have a young Working Cocker Spaniel puppy that we are starting to train as a gun dog. This is a great safe space for this sort of training. Update having visited several times now with the aim to train my puppy who has to stay on leash because I have not yet established a reliable recall. Have had some heated discussions with other dog owners who have their dogs off leash but do not have reliable recall if any and have got upset with me when they came to recover their dogs and I asked them to put their dog back on a lead. If you have a reactive dog especially when on their lead in proximity with loose dogs, this may not be the place for you and your dog. Currently searching out an alternative venue as my aim is to train my dog to respond to my commands, not spend time fending off dogs that do not return to their owners.

Good little park for doggies. Ideal for socialising your canine friend(s) with other doggies. Enjoy going there with my pooch

Good sized dog park with 2 fields. Totally secure with wire around the edges attached to the wooden fences to make it extra secure. 2 gate entrance to make sure your dog is secure on entry and exit. All dogs welcome all sizes, from chihuahuas to greyhounds, they all go here so it's your own responsibility to watch your dogs behaviour. 2 small benches to sit on. Dog bin. Can get busy at the weekends.. To get here go to the Chowns Mill roundabout and head up the A6 hill towards Rushden.. Take the immediate first left, and then parking is on the verge of the road immediately as you turn left. Enough spaces for around 15 cars in total. The gate entrance is on your right. Leads needed to cross the road.

We love taking our dog here. It's free, unlike most dog parks, and you don't need to book. It's safely fenced and double gated, and a decent size. One thing to be aware of though - when it's been raining during the winter it can get pretty muddy.
