A Hidden Gem for Families and Adventure Lovers If you’re looking for a safe, welcoming place where your kids can run free, explore nature, and have endless fun, this is the spot for you. From friendly donkeys and goats to ducks, wild rabbits, and even deer, there’s so much wildlife to see — not to mention the stunning koi swimming in the lake. The park has something for everyone. There’s a well-sized play area for children, huge grassy fields perfect for picnics or ball games, and a fantastic café where you can relax on the new decking overlooking the water. Enjoy a delicious lunch, a proper coffee, and a slice of cake while soaking in the beautiful lakeside views. You can even feed the koi (food is available from reception), or take a peaceful walk around the lakes. With so many different routes to choose from, you could easily spend the whole day exploring what this place has to offer. For those who love a bit of adventure, there’s a childerns obstacle course with a little climbing frame and a massive sandpit for little ones to dig into. During the warmer months, the park really comes alive with seasonal activities — including a huge aqua park, paddleboarding (solo or tandem), kayaking, pedalos, and so much more. It’s well worth checking their website for the latest events and activities. They also host open-water swimming sessions all year round. And if you just want to cool off, there’s a large paddling area that’s perfect for a summer splash (we definitely needed that this year!). Honestly, there’s so much to do here. We visit often and still haven’t managed to try everything — which just gives us another reason to keep coming back!

Staff and management should do something to improve the cleanliness and health & safety of the place. There are signs saying dogs are not allowed in the paddling area, however those are constantly ignored by many visitors. One of them even let the dog poop on the sand, right next to where kids were playing.

Lovely modern lodge. Lake side too, ducks and swans all around. Some issues with cleaning but was quickly put right after a visit to reception. Nice pub on site.

This was first for me here, we were just looking for somewhere to have a nice picnic, and it didn't disappoint. Looks like a great day out with water activities, a great place for families x

Even on a dark wet winter day this place was great to visit. If I was more into swimming I would love this place. Great for families with children that need wearing out. Good for triathletes and events. Food was great also. Well thought out.

Had a great long weekend here in the campervan. Loved the aquapark, would recommend booking early or late slot to avoid huge groups of teenagers! The lake walks were lovely and we enjoyed meeting the donkeys and goats. Good toilet and shower facilities.

We came here as part of a hen weekend. I didn't take part in the water activities myself but the ones in the party who did had a fab day. There's plenty to do if you book and slots available for different activities on the day if you fancy something else/something additional. Cafe, playground and toilet facilities available which is great for families with younger kids. The water is roped off so people, kids and dogs can go in a safe distance to bask and play and not interfere with those taking part in the water activities. The lake is lovely in its own right. I'm sorry I didn't take more photos but I blame the sore head for that one!

Stayed 2 nights in touring caravan, beautiful lakes and great walks, nice cafe. Plenty of water activities. The touring pitches are very spacious and the shower toilet facilities were very clean and tidy.
