   We've been going here for our holiday currency for years. I did an online transaction for my 85 year old disabled mum, looking for the option to get it delivered to her door( which usually comes up) maybe we didn't order enough for postal delivery? But I went from cottingham to Hessle Rd to pick it up for her, I had the email, her passport and the card it was paid for with me as suggested, and would they let me pick it up for her, no chance! It didn't say anything at all on line that it had to be my mum to pick it up! It also didn't give us an option for picking up for someone else! I can't take her for them now, so she'll have a big effort to get herself there now. Shes rubbish with technology, so I'm worrying about if she can't get the email to show them! We've never had any problems, and they've always been great with us. Im sure there would have been something they could have done, like ring my mum on the number that was put down when we ordered them!

   On Saturday the 27th of July myself and jacki visited the hessle road branch for advice on a ring, and to exchange cash to euros. We were served by a lady called Wendy, instantly she made us feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable and truthful which is hard to find. We also exchanged our money to euros with her again very professional explaining about using a card instead of cash giving us very useful advice. So thank you Wendy. We definitely highly recommend ramsdens and their staff particularly Wendy.

   Be careful with this place. Took some scrap gold and a platinum ring in, got offered a below par price on the gold and told the platinum ring was platinum plated, not worth anything! . Went to an independent jewellers 10 mins down the road who gave double price for the gold and confirmed the ring was indeed platinum! Got a decent price for that too.
