Cholmondeley Castle Gardens is a real gem. The gardens are full of beautiful flowers and greenery, with carpets of bluebells in the spring – I loved it all. The Arboretum is huge and makes for a lovely wander. The castle itself is private and can’t be visited, but it still adds a beautiful backdrop to the gardens – the architecture and surrounding grounds are stunning to see from afar. Nearby, the charming chapel adds a lovely touch to the area and is worth a quick visit. The paths are easy to walk, and there are plenty of spots to just sit and take it all in. The tea room is nice for a break, and the play areas make it great for families. For a small fee of £10 I have enjoyed gorgeous day in the gardens. You can also become a seasonal member. Overall, it’s a really relaxing place to spend a good few hours. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cheshire – whether you love gardens, castles, chapels, or just want a calm escape.

Beautiful garden, colorful planted ways around the ponds. Countryside walk to the Chapel. The castle itself is private, but that is no downer and the entrence price is good.

Cholmondeley Castle Gardens are beautiful with lovely walks in the parkland and the formal gardens are full of colour and interesting plants. The tea shop is fantastic, great food and views over the grounds.

£10 entry, ample parking on either hard ground or on grass. Fantastic gardens and grounds to explore. Cafe serves really nice food and drinks with a small gift shop section. Or pack a picnic as lots of seating in and around the gardens. You could easily spend all day here..

Lovely gardens in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Some parts newly and very nicely planted, like the herbaceous borders and rose garden. Some very impressive trees, with labels saying it's a "Champion" tree but no label to say what type of tree it is. Lots of lakes beautifully landscaped. Nice (but quite long!) walk through the estate to the chapel. The lady at the estate entrance was friendly and welcoming. Pleasant tea room serving snacks, drinks, cakes and ice cream. It's a garden with lots of unfulfilled potential. For example, it would be great to see the walled garden tidied and opened to the public. A bit concerning though, to see Japanese Knotweed here and there. Hope the gardeners are able to eradicate it.

Marquess of Cholmondeley private residence. Somehow it is not open to the public. But the 19th century castle from outside and beautiful gardens are worth to visit. Cricket grounds and nice cafe on site- Chehire cheese and ice cream selection. Enjoy

Lovely gardens and grounds. Nice walk out to the Chapel. Plenty of bluebells at the moment. Lots of pools and running water. No access to the house but the cafe and staff are excellent. Superb bacon sandwich and great range of cakes.

Fantastic gardens, real hidden gem that we happened upon almost by accident as we're not local to the area. Wonderful grounds, peaceful and exceptionally planted and maintained. The café was pretty good too so all-in-all, you'll not be disappointed.
