Amazing ride where the turns really pull you. Its very good but not enough for a 5 star. Choo Choo!

The runaway mine train is an old favourite ride for families that appears to be just as popular now as it was years ago. It's located in the Katanga canyon area of the theme park near to the rapids and pizza pasta restaurant

An amazing kids coaster. The ride actually picks up quite a lot of speed in the tunnel. A great ride if you are looking to get over your fear of roller coasters as it is very fun and still has a bit of intensity. Definitely the best kids coaster in the park.

Fantastic powered rollercoaster! The runaway mine train is easily my second favourite powered rollercoaster in the UK behind Buffalo Stampede at Twin lakes, this ride is dead fast, 3 helixes, airtime and you also go past the Congo river rapids, I went on this when I was nearly 10 years old, great childhood rollercoaster

Not the best ride at Alton Towers but was still fun! Please bare in mind if you are tall your knees are going to hurt on this one!

Ride was pretty good and not too scary for any smaller children doesn't get 5 stars though due to the guy on the intercoms incessant usage of "choo choo" at the end of every announcement I know its a train ride but when you here it every two minutes for 40 minutes it's very annoying.

One of the more classic rides. Traditional yet enjoyable. Good fun for everyone!

Not the greatest ride at Alton Towers but if you have a spare few minutes and the queue is short it's worth the giggle or just a nice tame ride if you do happen to have some younger kids with you. Also the operator is so annoying on this ride 'choo choo' ..yes we all know its a train lol 'choo choo' The only bonus if you can call it that is that it goes round twice
