No pressure at all to purchase, happy to try on as many as possible and suggested plenty of different options. Found an absolutely stunning dress. Then found options for hats to go with it. “I came to oikos with my partner and my 2 day old daughter. Things didn't work out with my partner so she went home leaving me with a 2 month old daughter as a single dad. The staff were very helpful and supportive. They really cared about me and my daughter didn't see it as just a job. I will always be grateful for everything they have done so I was able to take my beautiful daughter home. At first I hated you all but over time I started to to be very fond of you all.”
“Wonderful place. The centre is everything you need to suppot adults with learning disabilities and older people with dementia. It was a bigger centre but Highbury school took a section of it which was a shame as the space for my relative was amazing. There should be more places like this.”
“I called up open minds back in June 2022 and they were so helpful I went in the same day and had a 1-1 with Jonathan (counsellor) and I’ve had lots of counselling over the years and nobody could really figure out what the problem was. I got more from that hour with him than I ever have in the past and knew that’s where I wanted to begin my recovery! When I went in the day after I met 1 of the house managers who I got on with straight away he made me feel totally at ease. The thing I love about open minds is they have all gone through open minds themselves and follow the same 12 step programme I follow today, so they talk from experience not just books. Everybody there was really lovely and I felt at home for the time I was there! I’m still in close contact with a lot of them today and they still help me more than they know! the after care is amazing, anytime I call or text I get a reply within minutes. I’m 2 years clean thanks to open minds it’s really changed my life and I couldn’t do it without any of them and can’t thank them enough for what they have given me. I’ve always known how to survive as an addict but open minds have taught me how to live.”
