“Excellent from what I remember, and still improving.”
“Don’t care what people say I came to this school from foundation to year 6 and left in 2016 is better the most schools on the contrary!!!”
“Put new sign up at lovely staff and friendly”
“Traditionally brilliant school, usually one of the best in the area. Pupils are polite and keen on learning. Attendance is higher than average, parents are involved and interested. 371 pupils. Ofsted Feb 2018: requires improvement in 4/5 areas. Early years provision: Good. Previous inspection: Good. Recent poor Ofsted report is partially due to the many recent changes of headmaster /headmistress(3). Mrs Hatter the new head is working with an effective and engaged set of governors to ensure that the school returns to where it should be.”
“Great school with dedicated staff and enthusiastic children”
“A hard working school one of the most improved school in the country. It may get mocked by the other school but the teachers and of course the kids do the school proud. I more than impressed with the school”
“My primary school. Has perhaps the best headmaster in Hull :)”

“My daughter is a student here and she loves it. A really personal village school.”
“Tina has been supporting our daughter for four months as a maths tutor. We have seen a considerable improvement overall. Including a boost in confidence and her grades have improved in all areas of learning. We are very happy and impressed with the progress so far. Our daughter is also very happy and comfortable with Tina and her teaching techniques.”
“As a parent of a child with SEMH needs, I cannot praise Venn Academy Trust highly enough. From the very first day, my child was met with genuine understanding, patience and compassion. Staff take the time to truly get to know each pupil, celebrating their strengths and supporting them through every challenge. Communication with parents is excellent – I always feel included and informed about my child’s progress and wellbeing. The nurturing environment has helped build my child’s confidence and self-esteem in ways I never thought possible. They now look forward to school, which is something I once feared would never happen. The Trust’s commitment to specialist support, tailored learning and positive relationships makes such a difference to families like ours. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do.”
