   I visited Bella Italia for lunch, located at the Ashton Moss Leisure Park. There is plenty of parking, including EV charging, available and a tram stop nearby. This was my first time visiting Bella in a while. I’ve had mixed experiences with the chain over the years, but based on my experience here, it isn’t going to be somewhere I’ll rush to return. The restaurant is large, but it felt so dead and lacked atmosphere. There may have been 2-3 other tables dining at the same time as me; it was eerily quiet. The allergen information including gluten-free menu is now accessed via a QR code, and I found it overly complicated, for example while scrolling the website, it would grey out the options (as the pasta and pizza contained gluten by default) and then there would be a small option saying Gluten-Free under the dishes which were possible, it makes it look like certain dishes are not possible to order, and means you have to spend longer going through the menu - it isn’t well thought out at all. I was also confused at to why the Carbonara couldn’t be made gluten-free, as I can’t think of any other ingredient it should include with gluten, once the pasta has been replaced. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the service was pretty quick. Prices were competitive for a chain Italian, perhaps a little pricey without a promotional offer, though I managed to get 241 mains with my Tastecard, making it much more reasonable. For my food, I went for the Gluten-Free Spicy Chicken and Sausage Pizza. The base was a little thick and doughy for my liking, the chicken was nice, the pizza had nice flavours, other than the nduja, which was overcooked. My experience was fine, I’ve certainly had better in terms of food quality and atmosphere, but the staff were friendly, and the promotional offers are plentiful however I wouldn’t rush back.

   We visited tonight and took advantaje of the 'bring your own pasta' offer. Thw food was delicious and staff welcoming. Thank you so much to Abigail for her lovely, professional service. She was so kind and helpful even though she was rushed off her feet. We were welcomed and seated by Luke who was just as lovely. We will be visiting again, especially if this offer is on!

   Our server was Abbie this evening and she was amazing!! Very friendly, made sure we were happy with our food and was able to answer our questions about the menu. Abbie took time to ensure our order was correct and we were served in good time of arriving. Our only criticism of this evening was it took a while for our drinks to arrive and the beer glasses were warm. Other than that we had a fantastic time and would definitely come back, thank you Abbie.

   I have always loved this restaurant. All of the staff are lovely and very attentive. It was my mums birthday today and we went to Bella italia tonight for her birthday meal. All of the food we ordered was absolutely delicious. We had a waiter called Jack and he is my favourite waiter - so polite and presentable and will go the extra mile to make your meal so special !! I will definitely keep coming - simply can’t get enough, yum !!! Can’t recommend enough.

   Food is always nice here! I absolutely love their Caesar salad!!!! Service is also really nice, friendly and always helpful. The atmosphere sometimes is too bright and that might not be conducive to staying longer and have more food or drinks. It would be nice if there's more warmth in terms of lighting.

   I want to start saying that the pizza wasn’t the best I’ve eaten (I’m Italian so perhaps that is to take into consideration when reading this review). I decided to still give 5 stars thanks to Abbie, our waitress. She has done an exception job. She has been so polite and caring, paying attention to our needs (we are vegetarian). Excellent customers service skills. If it wasn’t for her, I would have rated this place 3 stars. Honestly guys, she is a great asset to your team!

   Hygiene : tables were seperated with a plastic screen and when we sat at the stall (forgot what you call them) sections, they alternate the tables such that 1 table is not in use in between each one. In terms of cleanliness, I am very picky but the seats didnt feel that clean and had some food on it. Food: food came quickly and was pretty decent. we ordered pizzas and it was quite nice. thin base.
