Hands down the worst big John’s in Birmingham, and it’s been the worst for about 20 years. Food always tastes old, cold and off. High chance of food poisoning
The chicken was yellow and leather like when chewing clearly showed it’s reheated days old stuff. Some of the side felt like plastic. Horrible burger i hope i dont get sick. Thankfully justeat refunded but still needed to show their standards
Last Monday, my family and I decided to visit the Acocks Green branch of Big John’s, as we had an excellent experience just a few days earlier at the Northfield branch. Unfortunately, this visit was completely the opposite. As soon as we arrived, I noticed there was no dine-in area. That was fine, but I was with my elderly mother, and they didn’t even offer her a chair to sit on while we waited. I placed an order for: • Two Spicy Chicken Burger deals • One Wings Deal • One 2-Piece Fried Chicken Meal After paying, they informed me they didn’t have two spicy chicken burgers available. I agreed to change the burgers, but at the end, they refused to give us the deal coke — just because the new burger wasn’t part of the deal. That felt unfair and unprofessional. As for the food: • The wings were clearly not fresh. They had just been reheated and were extremely dry. • The fried chicken pieces also lacked freshness and quality. • The burger (which I’ve enjoyed at other branches) was awful — dry, tasteless, and nothing like the fresh, juicy version we had at Northfield. To top it all off, the manager was shockingly rude — not just towards customers but also towards his own staff. His angry and dismissive attitude made the whole experience even worse.
The staff are absolutely lovely! They always give time to get to know their customers. They provide high-quality foods at a reasonable price, they are quick to deliver. Thank you
Dreadful customer service. The telephone staff particularly the gentleman named Arshad, is probably one of the most rudest humans I have ever dealt with. And then tried to threaten me with being racist. When I’m British Pakistani myself albeit I don’t have an accent! I told the managers that I had received a piece of boneless breast with metal inside it. ACTUAL METAL. Of course they denied this and told me I was making things up. Arshad even told me that if I posted this on social media I was blackmailing them and that I shouldn’t post the pictures and they would deny it. Well Arshad, below I have attached the pictures! And I certainly will be posting them on social media in due course. Arshad was supposed to have given me an email to send the pictures in for internal investigations but his ego got in-front of his mouth and he decided to disconnect the call after I asked him why he was so rude. Needless to say they banned my just eat account shortly after. May I add I was a long standing customer before this, usually at the Lawley Middleway. But Acocks green! Disgusting! Place needs closing down. Food standards have dropped! Big johns? More like Big CONs!
Just been scammed by Acocks Green branch. I rang to place an order and was told if I go in to the branch, I’d get 50% off. On arrival and waiting for 30 minute or so in the queue to get told that what I was ordering wasn’t on the offer. I asked why I was told that on the phone and was told ‘it just isn’t’ I still ordered but listened to others ordering to discover they were also told the same thing. When I questioned it again, I was told there are certain items on the menu for the offer. It’s not the price, it’s the waste of time. 30 minutes of my life I’m never going to get back
Never go here again. The staff are rude , and is no longer value for money. Absolutely disgusted . They advertised that it was 50% off , but wasn't The lady behind the counter lied to the manager and told him she has told me. He was even ruder than her. The shop seemed to be full of discontented customers.
Awful food, missing food items, late and cold. Fried chicken thrown in a box looking like an oily mop. It’s better to sit in the shower and rip up £20 notes! Called staff, that were very unhelpful and offered no resolution.
It's orite. Had food from here a few times. Sadly not really fresh or hot. I wouldn't go in next time when they are just opening up as most counter food is from the before. Shame they slipping standards.
Pizza was delivered with half cooked dough, barely any base sauce on it. Called customer service to complain the staff member dealing with the complain was just rude and dropped the call. Called back and spoke to another staff “Hassan” who was very unprofessional, rude and refused to let me speak with manager. Over all food quality was poor but customer service staff attitude and mannerisms was appalling.
