Recently me and my friends visited YO Sushi! We went on a Thursday to have their unlimited sushi! £30 and as many plates as you want! And when you’ve finished they tell you how much you’ve saved! Safe to say we demolished a lot of plates! There was lots of variety in dishes and plenty of choice! Vegan options and vegetarian options too! We also tried a few different deserts! We can’t wait to go back!

We waited at the entrance of the store for 20 minutes without being acknowledged by either the manager or staff. Multiple people left in the queue behind us for waiting and the lack of being acknowledged. Eventually myself and another group gave up and sat ourselves on the numerous empty tables and places at the bar. After 15 minutes Rob the manager approached myself, my partner and young child and asked who had seated us. We explained that we had waited 20 minutes without being acknowledged and had decided to seat ourselves. Rob decided rather than apologising and rectifying the matter but to kick a young family out who were eating. Rob was really rude and aggressive. We paid for what we had eaten. He also threw a mum and her child out for the same thing. It takes 2 minutes to be polite and acknowledge someone and even explain if it’s going to be a little bit of a wait but Rob and his staff chose not to. Clearly Rob doesn’t enjoy his job and is much more suited to a job that isn’t a customer facing role. I never been more appalled in my life by the bad/lack of basic customer service in my life.

My first time at Yo Sushi! After ordering on the app, drinks/food is sent on the smart conveyor belt, stopping at your table. Neat! I got about 90% vegan dishes, and they were all delicious (see the pic I’ve uploaded). This is specific, but I absolutely love the nori. There were several things on the 99p Menu offering fantastic value.

Really?! I went there because I saw the comments on Google. Super disappointed with the quality, the sushi is warm and looks like someone eat it before me… And we saw the staffs keep talking without wearing a mask while making the sushi.

Honestly I adore Sushi, this place is perfectly situated upstairs in the Arndale which Is convenient, the staff are lovely and you can sometimes watch the chefs prep your meals and sushi for later it takeaways. There's a choice of Booth or stool if you have back issues which I do and they've accommodated me twice. You order your food only over an app which is quite limiting, if your phone dies or you don't have a newer model sadly it doesn't seem like you could eat here. The menus have a fun variety but when it comes to sushi itself it's quite limited, you won't find eel or octopus, nothing extravagant. Just salmon, tuna, crab and veggies. Which is a let down. But quality wise the food tastes clean, fresh and is enjoyable. But sadly you'll find yourself spending up to £4-£5 for 3 pieces of sushi sometimes and honestly that ruins it a little, it's quite expensive for a place with such little offer, I'd only feel comfortable with that price if it was a popular sushi chef from Japan. Its a fun experience if you don't mind spending a lot or having little options for sushi. Their award system makes up for it only a little but they sneakily force you to buy 1 more dish just to get the 1 extra point needed to earn a free dish, which is very sneaky. I'll still go, but it'll be rarely.

Great location in Manchester’s Arndale with the excitement of food been delivered by conveyor belt. Except the chefs have clearly got bored of the system so just hand deliver your food, service from the staff was absolutely shocking but the food was good. This was my first experience of YO! And potentially my last, it’s certainly not cheap and unfortunately the whole experience doesn’t match the price point or the possibility. Would I return to Yo!, probably not.

Yo sushi is the most easiest and convenient way to enjoy good quality sushi and Japanese cuisine. The food is delicious and very quick to come to you. They have a new online ordering system at the table that makes ordering and paying a lot more efficient and smooth. Overall lovely restaurant, not 5 simply due to price
