Went on Sunday 2nd November for a special occasion dinner with my sister at 245. Chose here because never had a bad meal. Both ordered beef Sunday roast. The food was lovely except for the beef which was so tough it was virtually inedible. At eighteen quid it's not cheap and too be honest should have complained on Sunday. Think the staff had an idea things were not right. Not just with mine but others as well. It's a pity because usually excellent and it's a bit off putting about going back, but maybe it was a one off. Shame really. Spoiled my day.

Gourmet evening by renowned chef David Gale. A glass of bubbly on arrival and 5 dishes which were all absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The service was brilliant and every dish was well executed and delivered with a smile by the lovely waitresses. The atmosphere and table setting was excellent and warm. A rat pack singer added to the experience. Hope they do another Gourmet evening. OUTSTANDING!

First time here and won’t be the last. Lovely country pub in the middle of farmland. The service was excellent - every person who dealt with us had a smile on their face and went above and beyond. The food was brilliant. I had a mixed grill and my wife had a roast ham Sunday lunch. Both were faultless. For dessert, I had sticky toffee pudding and my wife had crumble and custard. No complaints at all. Just quality food in a lovely pub. We will return.

Wow, what an absolute gem of a place! I had booked Tapas and requested to be on the terrace as the weather was great. Had a friendly warm welcome and taken to the terrace. Had nice chilled music and comfortable seating. Ordered food and it did not disappoint! The mussels in particular were exquisite. Enjoyed some more drinks in the sun till it set below the field in front of us. The service, food and overall atmosphere were perfect. Had a great chat with the owner too. We will definitely be making frequent visits here. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

Went here Saturday at 12.30, it was a table for 4 and we were seen to our table by a friendly waitress, ordered our meals which took about half an hour, which I thought was good and when they arrived they were all piping hot. Couldn't find fault at all like some of the other reviews, will definitely be back. Lovely little pub. Thank you

Generally good, but when I order a half pint I don't want a pint which is what I got. The mixed grill was OK but when I asked for the meat rare I got medium to well done. Portions were good and the atmosphere very nice.
