All the food is very delicious and tasty. We like kubaidah and Naan and qabli Palau. The meat is very tender juicy and delicious. The atmosphere is cool here. It's not a big restaurant so it's always full or even fully booked. You need to book it in advance to secure the table here.

Very ambient and lovely traditional Persian decor, also the best Qabli Pilauow I’ve tried in Manchester. All dishes were made with love and received a friendly service. Can’t wait to try more dishes although get’s quite busy and there’s a little wait..but it’s definitely worth it.

Last night’s dinner was a total surprise — in the best way. The food blew me away with its rich flavors, generous portions, and comforting presentation. The Mix Platter was an absolute standout — a true killer combo, especially when paired with the Soup of the Day, which added a warm, savory touch to the meal. The vibe felt distinctly Turkish. The menu is refreshingly simple,.Quality over quantity — and they nailed both. Highly recommend for anyone craving something hearty, flavorful, and fuss-free.

I’ve been coming to Choupan Restaurant for over 15 years, and the food has always been consistently fresh and delicious. Fash and his dad are wonderful people—friendly, welcoming, and they always make you feel at home. A true gem that I’ll keep coming back to!

One of the best kept secrets of good persian food in Manchester. If you try nothing else's try their Qabli Pulao with a lamb shank... excellent portions and authentic taste... Truly small cozy family run business, well worth a visit. Can be busy so recommend calling in to ensure table free... Parking on street near the back... few spaces on front thought hardly ever empty...

Tucked away unassumingly on cheetham hill road but my oh my they deserve much more recognition. The space is small and incredibly homely and cosy - you feel like you’re eating in someone’s house and the quality of the food is just what you’d expect from such decor. Full of flavour, with that “mums touch” and tender lamb with just the right amount of spice. If you want more there is a beautiful extremely spicy and tangy green hot sauce to accompany the dishes. Get the soup as well - it’ll warm you right up. The price was incredibly reasonable also.

The menu is small but I like this as you do not go crazy deciding what to order then. Good portions of food which is always fresh, hot and delicious tasting. The service is excellent, small family run business where they make you feel welcome and not just a number like some big chain restaurants. Good ambiance, no loud banging music so you can actually have a conversation with someone. Cannot fault Choupan for food, service or atmosphere 100% perfect.

Had to try this place after hearing good things. As soon as we walked in I loved the decor of the place - small but looked very traditional and a good atmosphere. We had no reservations but they managed to seat us even though they were quite busy. The male waiter was very helpful, he explained different dishes to us and recommended us a few to try. Starters were lovely where we had some soup and an aubergine dish, the naan alongside it was fresh and really good. Unfortunately, the mains let us down massively. The qaabli pulao had really tender lamb shank but no flavour. The chicken skewers were far too overcooked and became really dry. The dupiyaza was the only dish we enjoyed. Honestly wouldnt go again based off the food experience which was disappointing because the place looked so good, maybe it was an off day. Feel like there are much better Persian places in Manchester.

Decided to visit Choupan today after a few recommendations from friends. It was a small but classic restaurant with Afghan and Iranian style deco and surroundings. The menu was short but had most of the popular dishes. We ordered Iranian style rice with lamb shank, Manto and Lamb chops. Everything was cooked to perfection and the taste was spot on. Finished our meal with a cup of green tea. The bill came to £38 which isn't bad at all considering the quality of food and service we received. Will be visiting again soon. I have attached some pics of the food we ordered and they tasted as good as they look.
