Great please to dine in with a big group. Food is nice and comes with a big 50% discount if ordered before 6pm
Me and my partner visited around a month ago with our 6 month old baby, the staff were polite and friendly and the food was good however not a great experience overall, we finished eating but had a little food left over so we decided to box up what was left and take it with us, we asked the waiter if we could please have takeaway box, he said of course and returned with 4 small foil boxes for us to put our curries into. We boxed up our food then asked for the bill, when we looked over it we saw that we had been charged an extra £4 for the takeaway boxes (the waiter never mentioned this to us) and this really left a bad taste in our mouths (no pun intended!) after spending over £70 in your restraunt I find it quite rude to put an extra £4 on the bill for some takeaway boxes, especially without warning. For this reason we will probably go somewhere else next time as we quite often dont always finish a full curry and like to take some away to enjoy again later.
Seems to have got a lot better recently. Had the chilli chicken massala and it was lovely.
Such a flavoufull lamb Balti with lovely big portions and friendly service. Wasn't rushed while eating and the price is totally reasonable. Go to the Prince of Wales for a drink beforehand and enjoy.
Been here a few times over the years but first visit since 2020. A very traditional restaurant that has had a much needed make over; including finally updating the toilets. Draught Cobra is always welcome. They currently offer half price food from 5 pm to 6.30pm Monday to Thursday. Jorvic really enjoyed the food. All the classic dishes. Had very fresh poppadums with a generous pickle tray. Tasty lamb tikka and chilli chicken. Two good mains with one pilau rice and one naan. This food plus 4 pints less than £50. Food much improved from last visit. Will be back. They also do a good trade in take away, the phone constantly rings.
Rubbish delivery experience. Ordered on yo-yo website and no confirmation email, so rang a while later and staff not bothered at all and said website wasn’t working. Reordered on justeat. Order then arrived missing items and restaurant not bothered or apologetic. Other food fairly cold. Nan breads tough and clearly made long ago.
Went here Christmas Day after being let down in another curry house in gatly, after explaining to the Management they said they will find us a table without even a booking reservation has There was 12 in our party and we fully enjoyed the food and the staff were very helpful and friendly, will be definitely willbe going here again.
Excellent looking restaurant with a relaxed and comfortable vibe, staff we're really pleasant. Food was excellent, the nicest Indian food I've eaten in a long while, probably won't go anywhere else now going forward. Portions were a good size, maybe big enough to share if you weren't too hungry, but not too big that you felt over-stuffed.
