Birds is one of our regular take-away places. We love all the different sauces especially Birds sauce! The staff are friendly and the service is always fast! The food is always hot and so tasty too
Since this establishment opened I had been an extremely loyal customer. I had also promoted the business extensively to friends and family. However on my last visit i had ordered my usual order of 8 wings meal. I always ask them to make 4 wings one flavour and 4 another flavour. This on many occasions was never an issue. On this last occasion the manager refused to do that and said I should just order 8 wings one flavour and they can not mix. I explained to him that i have had that order fulfilled many times. He said no and i would have to order two separate times. Ok that's fine i said but i proceeded to ask him if there were any financial implications for them to complete the order to my requirement and he said no there is none. His attitude was utterly disappointing and very stubborn. He was not even prepared to discuss it with me rather saying he has a business to run and that's how it is. He knows i was a regular there but even if not his attitude was disappointing. Considering Jim's chicken shop down the road are really busy and probably taken alot of business from Birds, you would think the manager would be more forgiving and flexible. If that's his attitude then i will not be and have not visited again. On many occasions they have got my orders wrong but i have been flexible and forgiven there incompetence. On this occasion for me this bad attitude and disregard is uncalled for. Otherwise food is hit and miss. Usually decent . Some days not fresh at all. However when they opened they were fantastic.
I had the fiery dipped burger which I enjoyed but was very messy and not the freshest. Mac n cheese bites were very nice. Overall it was ok but marked down due to a lack of freshness and pricing seems excessive compared to the competition such as Roccos, Shake bee and Miami’s who are all just down the road.
I ordered a BIRDS Chicken fillet burger meal with peri seasoned fries and a can of Rubicon, Chicken Breast Strips coated in signature batter and Chilli Cheese Bites. All the items wet freshly cooked and good quality. I ordered via their website and my order was ready 20 minutes later. Service was friendly and there was a free sweet in the bag, which was a nice touch. The full order was only £17.50.
This burger shop is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends. The burgers are juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. you can really tell they use quality ingredients. Whether you’re into classic cheeseburgers or something more gourmet, there’s something for everyone on the menu. The fries are crispy, and the sauces are next level. The staff are also super polite and quick with service. Definitely one of the nicest burger spots around!
An alright fried chicken shop that delivers to south Manchester, not much if any competition here. The fries are nice but standard, maybe a bit too salty. The gravy is a bit too salty too. The wings were cooked well and I like this Bird sauce, a bit sweet and tangy as they say! The fried chicken pieces were quite average. Spicy dipped burger - good chicken fillet, well cooked and nice bun. Not very crispy. The sauce isn’t very spicy but my friend’s burger was quite spicy they said! It actually reminds me of Kansas fried chicken sauce Overall, considering the high competition in Greater Manchester it’s not quite up to the mark compared to some of the big names. But if you live in Cheadle/Wythenshawe/Hale area this is probably the best fried chicken you can get delivered !
Flavour and quality was outstanding, some of the best I've had from a chicken place. Unfortunately the food was cold upon arrival, wings especially. Got 2 pieces of chicken, 3 spicy wings and 2 sauces. Wouldn't put me off trying it again in the hope it arrives hot next time!
Really tasty chicken and great value. Chicken pieces were huge and even the boneless parts were juicy inside. The wings (we got the spicy sauce) were delicious. Enough chips for two in one portion. Ordered for collection through their website and was served quickly. We’ll be coming back to clear out the place again soon!
The best chicken shop in Manchester! I don’t usually write reviews but after ordering from Birds I genuinely want this place to do well - the quality it serves deserves recognition and praise. Absolutely incredible. The chicken in the tower burger was excellent taste and quality. The bird sauce on the wings is easily my favourite wing sauce. All I ask is you maintain this standard! Birds will always be my go to chicken shop now.
If you want finger lickin wings look no further. Lovely homemade 'bird sauce'. Great service and most importantly good food! Can't wait to go back!
