Party of ten for a late Sunday lunch. The place was very busy / slightly chaotic as you would expect. However, we were expertly looked after by Ryan who managed our whole visit with friendliness, professionalism and humour. A real superstar who elevated our visit and is a fantastic ambassador for the venue. Pil Pil prawns were first class, pork a bit dry and crème brûlée pretty good. Thanks for a great experience.

Had voucher for a free bottle of wine so decided to go and try the Festive Menu. Had a few problems ordering the wine as staff were not aware of the offer, then were told it's £15 off a bottle, but eventually got the free bottle. Ordered the three course set meal for set price. The meal was good and portions were reasonable. However on receiving the bill we were charged for the wine so complained and this was the removed, but then noticed we had been charged one set meal and individual courses for the other which worked out more so bill went back again. Eventually paid but problems took the edge off a pleasant meal.

We had a fantastic experience at Ego. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, beautifully presented, and really high quality. What truly stood out, though, was the customer service. Ryan and Evie were exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, brilliant with our children and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish.

Our local and we’ve been eating here on a regular basis since the restaurant opened. Everything about Ego’s is excellent. The welcoming atmosphere, delicious food (particularly the kebabs!), attention to detail, friendly staff (Tracy our waitress is so lovely). We had garlic mushrooms / small gambas, chicken kebabs and pistachio pavlova. The only comment (apart from delicious of the first two courses) is that the pavlova lacked flavour. The ice cream tasted more of vanilla than cherry, there was an abundance of cream but just one or two cherries on top. We tried it because it was new but because the other tried and tested desserts are so yummy we’ll be reverting back to them in future. Only a small point though!

We didn’t have a reservation, but we were given a very good table. Tracy was very attentive and patiently waited while we translated the menu. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The environment was beautiful, relaxed, and comfortable.

Updated version: Great food, nicely presented. One star taken off for a very small prawn portion although upgraded by £1.5 and lack of cutlery after a starter . Staff friendly

I can't praise this place enough. First time we've ever been with some friends who live not far away, from the moment we set foot through the door into the very inviting entrance/reception area, we were made to feel very welcome and led through the restaurant to our table near to the open kitchen by one of the lovely waitresses. We could inhale all the lovely smells, watch most of the food being freshly prepared. The food was exceptional and served by the very attentive and enthusiastic staff. Can't wait to go again soon. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Brilliant lunch today. Customers next to us wanted to move tables due to use having a child (quite and we'll behaved I may add) we offered to move due to other kids in seated else where however the staff delt with the situation with no one moving. Food was fast and lovely. The staff worked well as a team and were brilliant. Will definitely be going back!

Absolutely excellent food, amazing value on a Monday night 50% off wine and a great 2 course price, and having pre booked and said we were GF and a veggie, they had the menus already for us. Very friendly, service 5☆+, loved it and great atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

Parking was ok and managed to find a place. Staff were friendly. Not so keen on the decor miss the old charm. The food was ok. Pate wasn't a hit. Mushrooms and spaghetti were lovely. Cocktails were a hit!
