Great service from Lucas. Tasty food but when black olives are listed as one of the toppings,.i would expect more than 5. Not even one per slice when cut into 8. Didn't feel good value for money.
Was served by Lucas, he was so attentive and polite. Checked in at convenient times, and was so helpful. There was another young gentleman who served us too and he was wonderful. Both are a huge credit to your team. Thank you so much!

Friendly staff. Excellent food to suit meat eaters and veggies. Quick service. We sat upstairs with a nice view of the river. Not sure why this has a 4* rating should be higher
We arrived at Pizza Express: we had been before and had a great window seat overlooking the river. We were told that there were no upstairs tables, so sat downstairs which was OK, until we went to use the bathroom and discovered that there was a full table upstairs and the rest were covered in dirty crockery and cutlery. We also asked for a calzone without chilli, but it arrived with them. As no one came to check on us, we didn't pass this on at the time. We also needed to call a waitress over to get the bill. One pizza very good and tasty. One not great but eatable with chillies removed.
Lovely place and food. Waitress smiley and attentive, plus food arrived at exactly the correct moment. The restaurant itself was BALTIC inside. I think the heater had broken, so we were sat shivering in the restaurant. Newark Council has a bit of a cheek, too, owning the car park at the front elevation of the business and placing their masks on for their stand and deliver pose to park whilst dining, no way of recouping this charge at the restaurant. Got to the car maximum heating to thaw after the meal. Would recommend as the food and service good.
Waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes, white 3 waiters prep our table?! They were talking and took them 20 min to put 2 tables together. No one called us, my busband went inside to ask if was ready and the waiter said: I'm not sure but I think we just need to put the cutlery. Insane.... even she was the one prep the table. We seat and to give us the cutlery, no excuse me or anything just put their arms in front of our faces. She gave us the menu without saying that a lot of the food was out of stock.. making our choices squeezed. We ordered and after waiting 30 minutes the food arrived and I cannot describe how miserable my pizza looked.. Poor costumer service, pizza terrible burnt... Awful experience I do not recommend that type of service. We paid £100 to have a awfultime.
It was ok, but not the normal high standard that we've received in other Pizza Expresses. Both my daughter's pollo pesto pasta came out as much smaller portions than normal and they were burnt. We complained and got the price of one refunded.
We where traveling back home from holiday in Norfolk and decided to break the Journey with a meal at Pizza Express. You can use your tesco club card vouchers here for 3 times there face value. This is on food only. So for a meal for four that should have cost £65 only cost me the drinks so about £10...and a tip for good service. As usual the pizza was to the same quality as other Pizza express I have used before. The restaurant has a different design with an upstairs reached by a spiral staircase. There is a great view of the river..Enjoy
