Deila was very kind and welcoming during our stay. We were celebrating a big event (I said yes to my wedding dress) and she was making our time very special! The food was amazingly delicious (just like always) and our lemonades were very refreshing! Excellent service, excellent food.

This is the best restaurant I have been to in many years. The food was gorgeous, 10/10!! We were made very welcome by staff, and our waitress Hannah, was lovely. We will be returning as the food is the BEST and the service is too!!

Had a lovely experience here. The service was excellent, they were friendly, attentive staff who made us feel welcome without being overbearing. We started with the spring rolls and chicken satay, both really tasty. The rolls were crisp and well-filled, and the satay came with a rich, flavourful peanut sauce. Solid 8/10 for the starters. For mains, we had the Salmon Pang Nang Curry, which was creamy, aromatic, and full of flavour, definitely a highlight. The Bang Bang Chicken was tasty too, but felt like it was missing something to ground it. The rice portion was a little on the small side, which made the dish feel slightly incomplete, but still memorable. Overall, a great spot for Thai food in a relaxed setting. Good portion sizes (mostly), great flavours, and lovely service. Would happily go back.

While the food at Giggling Squid Mere Green has always been outstanding and simply amazing. There is a feeling of true and genuine hospitality. One I don’t seem to get anywhere else. It is a beautiful restaurant with very attentive but unobtrusive service. Managerial staff always do their utmost best to accommodate our request. Oh yeah, a special mention to Nicole for providing us with an exceptional customer service. You were warm, authentic and absolutely marvellous. Highly recommended.

We popped in on a whim as I finished work early and the area has a good strip of restaurants. We thought we would try our luck, despite online saying they were full. There were a few customers seated. But still plenty of seats, we were able to get a table. The waitress initially tried to sit us right at the front door, which was chilly. She then offered our choice of seating, as from pictures you can see that there is a half wall in the middle and you would be sitting next to another table with some faux flowers between you, which was going to be quite distracting from our conversation. We asked if we could be moved which the waitress happily helped. The service was a bit slow, our allocated waitress was really rash and snappy with snatching the receipts and short with her answers. We shared a starter of the crackers, this was nice. For my mains, I went for the “restaurant fave” sticky crispy chicken with a side of rice, my husband got the chicken curry with sticky rice. My chicken was over cooked, quite dry and sickly after a few bites. Only plus, was it was massive portion. So plenty to eat, but as it was just chicken, no veg, it was really not enjoyable! My husband however really enjoyed his meal. He said it was fragrant, refreshing and tasty. I mentioned the chicken was dry to my waitress. But no alternative or apologies, so it was disappointing seeing as it was a fave dish. We also ordered a cocktail each and it was nice. We had 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 sides and a drink each, this came to £55 altogether, which is probably about average for dinner for 2 with drinks. But I did feel that for the price of a main, it should come with a side. Overall, service was slow and abrupt, food disappointing, but would like to give it another try next time as I’ve heard good things. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent food in a unique restaurant adorned with artificial flowers. The staff are all very friendly and happy to chat as well as being attentive. Great choice of dishes including "tapas" options. Food authentic with great flavours and nicely spicy. Highly recommended if you like Thai food.

Loving this new addition to the Mere Green space! Atmosphere and interior are fabulous! Bright, quirky and beautiful with plenty of seating. Accepts advance bookings and a good variety on the menu. It is pricey for sides but it is to be expected with a popular chain restaurant and you are partly paying for the interior and atmosphere. Have visited the restaurant twice and ordered out via Deliveroo on one occasion and was just as good via delivery. Would recommend to any Thai/Oriental food lovers out there! Would recommend the sticky chicken, spring rolls and golden money bags!
