Sadly the quality of food has gone downhill . I’ve been ordering food and lately the chicken in the rice box is dry and overdone . It’s gone straight to the bin ! Not sure if the branch has changed ownership . It’s a shame as we order here 2/3 times a week . Unfortunately won’t be returning here .
I’m really disappointed with my recent visit to this branch. I usually enjoy Pepe’s, but this experience has completely put me off. I ordered my usual paneer wrap over the phone and arrived about 10 minutes later. While I was waiting, I noticed the staff member using the same tongs for both chicken and paneer, which is unacceptable for anyone who doesn’t eat meat. I raised this m and they agreed to make it again but then the same person handled the food with their bare hands after touching other things around the counter. At that point, I cancelled my order. Other Pepe’s branches I’ve visited use separate tools (like green knives) and a different station for vegetarian food, which is the standard I’d expect. This location really needs to improve its hygiene and food handling practices especially when serving vegetarian customers.
Absolutely appalling if that’s the word. Don’t waste your money coming to this branch, see photos below. I ordered on Uber Eats, my box was half opened in my bag and my garlic dip was everywhere, my chicken was overcooked and the order that was in box was dry as hell. When I called up they said they couldn’t do anything despite me having photo evidence. It was a waste of money and time, I understand why they have a 3.8 rating. Train your staff to cook and package the food, and also to deal with customer complaints!
Dry, dead not nice. Worst pepes ive been to. Also they limit garlic mayo to one per meal. Also the guy behind the counter was not the most pleasant when it came to interactions.
Ordered from here. Got served very presentably and professionally. Armaan was at the till, had to get his name. Asked me continuously if I needed anything and if I enjoyed the food. Highly recommended store
As you're probably aware, depending on which Pepes you go to the quality can be very hit and miss. With this one in Solihull, I'm glad to say that they've been consistently good every time I've been there. The taste, portions and the way the food is assembled, are very consistent. And I'm usually harsh when judging Pepes as a franchise - as I believe for what they charge, their quality control needs to be a lot better.
Food was great overall but the service I received was even better. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. From the moment I placed my order to me leaving I received top notch service from a lad called Arman. Will definitely come back soon!
Great customer service by armaan. He made sure that he didn't forget the notes i had put on my order and took special care when carrying out my food. Great customer service would definitely go again.
This is their Chicken XL with an extra fillet! Absolute cons - real shameful business Conduct. If you can't fulfill the order then consult me for an alternative solution but don't replace it with something I didn't order
