   First time coming here. We had a lovely morning at breakfast with Santa, he spent lots of time talking to my daughter and both kids got a nice little present plus a kit to colour tree decorations and crackers. Couldn’t fault breakfast or the friendliness of staff and lovely Christmassy atmosphere, Was good that Santa came before breakfast so we weren’t waiting around after. Will definitely be coming back to try a main meal here next time.

   We had a 3 course Christmas lunch at the Hollybush today. The food was excellent and the portions of a good size. We were all extremely full by the end of the lunch. The pub itself was clean and well presented and the staff were very pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived. A special mention to Adam who served us with a smile today. We would recommend that people eat here and we will definitely return when we can.

   Meal with friends last night. Pub was quite empty which is the only reason not five star atmosphere but was warm and welcoming. Menu would have benefitted from some additional choices but what we all had, we all said was tasty and enjoyable. What made the night, was the genuine friendly attentive service from Michelle (aka Penny), she was lovely, possibly the best service we have had in a long time. Will be back.

   I recently visited with my sister in law and i must say it was a lovely visit. We had different dishes, and both were delicious and presented beautifully! Ample parking and located in a lovely area. Atmosphere was perfect and i want to give the waitresses a shout out too! - Michelle and Harriet were amazing and very attentive to everything we needed and were both super friendly and smiley. Highly reccomended - will be visiting here again for sure!

   Good pub decor. Food OK but nothing special. My soup was luke warm. Table service in the main part of the pub but drinks were slow coming. Had to ask a couple of times and it wasn't overly busy.

   2nd visit here today since December 2022. Both visits attended to swiftly with friendly waiting staff, along with warm and nice portions of food. My only nit pick would be the pigs in blankets ordered as extras. It's simply 2 sausages covered in the smallest piece of bacon, so more like just sausages. Also possibly provide gravy for the customer to pour themselves, as there was no gravy poured on our yorkies which were incredibly dry.

   We stopped here by chance and were presently surprised at how nice the food and welcome was. My wife had the mixed grill and I had the steak and ale pie which were both well cooked and tasty. We would recommend eating here.

   Stood at the bar for 5 minutes, fully aware of having just missed the lunch rush - the barmaid with the blue/green hair blatantly ignored us, we wondered if we should’ve been at the other side of the bar but got no service or acknowledgement on that side either. Decided to leave as no tables cleared anyway, and really disappointed to see the fire wasn’t on! - as we were leaving a gentleman who had literally just arrived got service straight away! Always found it to be variable service here, probably won’t make the effort to come back.
