   We booked to celebrate a birthday. Good choice of menu and we both had a stater and main course. The only thing that was annoying. After the meal I went to the bathroom where I saw advertised Thursdays are special steak nights. We would have most certainly had this offer. No where by the table or on the menu does it show the offer. I asked the waitress and she pointed out it’s advertised in the bar. Most people are aware. She said look on Instagram . . I said not being regulars would it not be good to point this out at the table when giving out menu’s . Most nights they have an offer. Check if you visit.

   First time here, personally I didn't like the modern look, it lacked the country pub charm for me. The server was quick to ensure we had drinks. Felt a little rushed. She even asked if we were finished with the starters even though there were 3 chickens still on the plate. Starters were a little uninspiring, especially the fried chicken and at £9 I would have thought it came with a little more flare. Scotch egg reported to be tasty. Calamari was nice. Mains. The lamb was a bit dry and the roasties a little over cooked. Pork belly again reported dry. The veg was fresh n hot, nice variety. Paid extra for mash (I thought that was salty) and 2 cauliflower cheese. The food here is expensive and we agreed it wasn't worth it. Sorry.

   The food was absolutely delicious, we came for my partners parents birthdays/retirement dinner. I had the crab arancini and was absolutely blown away, I can confidently say it was the best arancini I’ve ever had. The filet steak was superb, as a chef myself, it was cooked to perfection. Sadly I only snapped two photos of the food I had however, the pizzas are incredibly big and fresh! No complaints from the nine of us dined together. The liquor “safe” has an exquisite range and honestly wish I lived locally as I’d visit weekly!

   We attended a birthday party in one of the private rooms upstairs. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food was outstanding and an overall great service. The dining area is spotless and well presented, as well as the outdoor area with the sports screen. Perfect for any occasion.

   Car park is available. On a corner so need to be careful going in and out. Lovely place, outdoor heaters under a canopy with a TV if you wish, booking is probably advantageous. Lovely staff, very friendly, meal was excellent. While it wasn't on the sides, had some sauted mushrooms. Very nice and a great portion. . They bought a small pot of grated paremsian cheese for the risotto, lovely touch. Plenty of it. Great wine selection as well.

   Had a lovely meal here! Staff were brilliant and squeezed us in even though we hadn't booked a table, we were served and fed quickly and the meal was delicious! The beer garden was lovely too with someone coming to put a heater on for us! Would recommend!
