I have been many times before. This is an award winning restaurant (check multi awards on display). I've never had any issues with my food or staff. My personal point of reference for an Indian restaurant. You can bring your own alcohol. There's a Tesco Express next door as well as Streetly Wine across the road(next to Nissan showroom)
We have visited here a few times now and each time we have left it until the last minute to go. They always do their best to get us a table. The guys are so friendly and helpful, knowledgable about the food and will happily recommend and adapt to suit you. They will happily chat and tell you the history of the dish. The food is amazing. It is NOT your standard curries that you get everywhere. They actually taste homemade and authentic and you can see the whole spices in them. The food is beautifully presented. We are visiting from the USA and Streetly Balti was recommended online. 5 of us ordered popadums, 5 balti dishes, nan and rice. Food was plentiful and flavorful. I had the best Murgh Palak I've ever had. Large pieces of tender chicken in thick spinach.We left stuffed and with leftovers. Price was very reasonable too. Be aware that the restaurant is up a flight of stairs. My elderly dad has mobility issues. The owner's son who took care of our table was most attentive, especially with my dad. The owner came to chat with us and that was another nice touch. I highly recommend!
Absolutely bangin' – a must-visit! Streetly Balti totally exceeded my expectations. The food was bangin' – full of flavour, perfectly spiced, and clearly made with care. Every dish we ordered hit the spot, especially the spicy meat curries. The restaurant itself has a great vibe – stylish, welcoming, and comfortable without trying too hard. You can tell they’ve put thought into creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can really enjoy your meal. Service was spot-on too. Friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing – exactly what you want when you’re out for a good meal. Whether you're a curry connoisseur or just in the mood for something seriously tasty, Streetly Balti is 100% worth a visit. Can’t wait to come back!
This restaurant was recommended to us as it has won several awards over the years, the restaurant's entrance looks tiny from the outside and the actual restaurant is upstairs. You're best to book as this isn't a very large place, cosy is probably a better way to describe and it's busy, a good thing. Not what I was expecting, plain tables no table cloths, but made sense as the change overs are quicker and in such a small busy restaurant it works well. No alcohol but a couple of shops up is a Tesco local, very handy. Parking outside is limited, the adjacent car park has a 1 hr limit so bare this in mind, or park locally, grab a takeaway ! Staff chatty and friendly, good well priced menu and food was excellent. The menu is not the same old as you'd probably expect, it has a lot of new exciting choices to experience, refreshingly welcome. All in all outstanding definitely worth a visit
Family dinner out on a Saturday evening. First visit. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Made some good recommendations. Quality of food and portion size were excellent. Prices were reasonable. Busy, so make sure you reserve a table. BYO too
Had a fantastic night at Streetly Balti last night. The staff were friendly and informative and they offered a fantastic menu - much better than your usual Indian restaurant. They helped by suggesting and explaining the dishes and I can honestly say I had the best chicken tikka masala I have ever had. I stuck to the norm but the others all had new and different dishes which tasted fantastic. The little shot bombs were sensational!
We had a lovely meal at the Streetly Balti, the staff were very friendly and managed to just fit 6 of us in with little notice. I would have given 5 stars but there are no alcoholic drinks available, however there is a Tesco express just around the corner which has bottles of Cobra in the fridge.
Absolutely lovely meal at Streetly Balti last night. Great to go somewhere local with a menu that is different from your regular Indian restaurant and good for money. We will return
