My go-to restaurant for authentic Pakhtoon/Peshawari/Afghani food. The chapal kabab is the BEST! The karahis are awesome, especially the Charsi Chicken Karahi. The massive Naan that comes on the stand, great!! The wait could be more depending on how busy they are but because they make the karahi fresh it does take a while but it's worth the wait.
Visited Kabul Darbar in Birmingham recently and had a very good experience overall. Parking is available for a few cars, which is definitely convenient. The service from the waiters was excellent — attentive and friendly throughout. The food was enjoyable — the chops and chapli kebab were both really nice and full of flavour. The kharai could have been better, but it was still decent. Overall, a solid experience with great service and good food. Definitely a place I’d recommend trying.
Authentic karahi and kebabs. Loved it . I would give 10 stars if there was an option. Perfect place to eat out.
I recently visited Kabali Darbar in Birmingham and was thoroughly impressed. The lamb karahi was rich and flavorful, paired perfectly with fresh, soft roti. The chicken biryani was aromatic and well-balanced, and the chai with fresh milk added the perfect finishing touch. Every dish was prepared with care and tasted absolutely delectable. A must-visit for authentic and satisfying Pakistani cuisine.
Kabul Darbar is a very good choice if you are fond of desi taste. The chapli kebab and tikka is a must try. The food was delicious and service was excellent. I would definitely go again.
Visited on the 17-Aug-2022 it was one of the worst food I have ever had in afghan restaurant, I mean look at the meat of Kabuli Pulao it is so dry and it has been boiled so much to the point where there was no taste and and the karahi was so oily that the taste of meat was not there at all.
Visited first time this place, was a nice experience, Had Charsi karahi, Kabul karahi, Kabul pulao, chappal kabab. All were good but Kabul lamb karahi was above of all. Nan was really big, enough for whole family of 5.
Best chappal kebabs in Birmingham. No frills restaurant but what you do get is top quality afghan food at a reasonable price l. Restaurant is always busy which highlights its popularity.
Tasty fresh food, the mixed grill is surprisingly good as is the chapli kebab. Haven't had any issues with the food whenever I have visited but giving 4 stars as the place does not appear to be very clean and wait times can be long during busy periods.
