Lal Quela provides excellent service with very friendly and welcoming staff. They don’t differentiate between customers based on where you come from — everyone is treated with genuine respect and hospitality. The staff patiently explains every item on the menu and ensures you get exactly what you request. We do not eat beef, and they made sure our mixed platter was customized accordingly. They are very accommodating, and even vegetarian options are available. I would rate the staff, service, and the owner’s warm hospitality 5 out of 5. Their chutneys are outstanding — especially the mint-style chutney, which is incredibly flavorful, and the red chutney, which has a perfect tangy and herbal taste. Highly recommended dishes include the mutton chops, chicken karahi, and mutton karahi, available in customizable portions such as half kilogram or one kilogram. The pulao, rice, and dal are also excellent. Every dish we tried was delicious, making Lal Quela a great place to visit for regular meals or special events. The only challenge is that parking can be a bit difficult in the area, so plan accordingly. Overall, a wonderful experience — definitely worth a visit!

We were served by Jamil, who has excellent customer service and very calm demeanour and was able to advise on the menu. Samosa Chaat, Seekh Kebabs, Lamb Karahi, Naan and the obligatory chips were all served piping hot and full of flavour. What was very refreshing to find was that plates, glasses, cutlery and serviettes were all placed on the table for the starters and mains. As were the salads and sauces also effortlessly placed on the table without having to ask for it. Attention to detail makes the experience so much better. We ordered some karak chai and were pleasantly served a complimentary dessert, very much appreciated. Credit to all the staff who were all polite and courteous.

13 of us tried this place on a Saturday night after a hectic day at Drayton Manor! The service was very good with a very engaged waiter on hand. The food was very good too. From the starters to the mains! Seekh kebabs were massive! Parking was an issue around this area. It started getting busy which was a testament to the place itself. At the end of the meal they offered free sweet rice, fruits and ice cream. Which was nice of them. Thank you.

A meal for around 8 people was not what I expected in the sense of portions provided in the mix platter, however the food was tasty! Really nice interior in the restaurant and can host a huge group for eating. Was not happy with the waiting time to be honest, felt like it took too long!

Probably the best Desi restaurant I’ve ever been to. From the moment we walked in, everything exceeded expectations. I asked for mild, non-spicy food, and they nailed it - freshly prepared on the spot, just how I wanted it. The chicken and malai boty were incredibly juicy - tender and packed with flavor, not dry at all. The grilled starters were top-notch, especially the shish kebabs - both the chicken and lamb were well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The lamb chops, while decent, could’ve been a bit more tender and flavorful. The naan was soft and fresh, not rubbery like you sometimes get elsewhere, and the karahi had a rich, deep flavor without being overly oily or greasy - a rare balance that made it even more enjoyable. Service was impeccable - friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure everything was to our liking. If something isn’t right, they’re ready to make it right, no questions asked. The pricing is very reasonable given the quality of the food, service, and overall dining experience. Highly recommended - this place is easily a 10/10 for me.

Decent old school cooked food done well. Probably one of only a few places that has authentic Pakistani dishes cooked well without the fanfare. Surroundings are warm and inviting, and the service is always good. You will know how good this place is when you see a busy restaurant almost every night of the week. We travel to eat here,

Ordered Mix Grill for Starters It contained Chicken Tikka, Lamb Tikka, 2 Sheekh Kebabs, 2 Chicken Wings and 2 Lamb Chops. For Mains had a Lamb Karahi (curry) Food was alright nothing special but that's my opinion everyone's taste buds are different.

We ordered mixed platter, chicken karahi and a portion of daal. Bar be que platter was good especially rice were delicious and full of flavour. For price we paid it was quite small platter. Chicken karahi was nice plenty of gravey made the taste brilliant, probably it will taste further better if red chilli is not used but rather put black pepper or green chilli. Yellow daal was good but garlic tarka was too strong, you can use Jeera for tarka aswell and avoid garlic smell. Service was not organised, they were not very busy only half of the tables were occupied but staff was confused, requested additional roti and naan to 4 different waiters and finally got roti after making complaint to a guy seemed like manager, requested a bottle of drink same thing happened again. A male waiter took our order had face shield on wasn't a happy man either, very serious when he took our order, overall staff didn't have courtesy or professionalism, food was decent but service need good training. Ambience and sitting arrangement was good for groups and families, parking on the road is bit tricky and you're lucky if you found one.
