Lunch experience today was spot on. Really busy but service was fast and efficient and our large party was extremely impressed with how staff catered for us from start to finish. Big queue handled well at the bar by a gent I was informed goes by the name of Kirk? Definitely the captain! All Smiles from the 2 women we encountered- -Andrea and Victoria. Who did not stop dashing around to ensure the restaurant was looked after. Biggest shout out to victoria though - banter was great. Dealt with our only small complaint of an issue with the food. Rectified immediately. But carvery was nice. Wouldn’t hesitate to return based on what I saw today.
All you can eat toast (brown and white), refillable drinks, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, and all your standards done to perfection! Great friendly service! Amazing day with family. Our server was Leanne (very kind), and Chef Jason.
Very reasonably priced, friendly place with plenty of good food, and whilst there's always people in there's enough space so that it never feels cramped. I ate there with some colleagues recently, special mention to Bing who was so lovely and welcoming, and a shout out to Callum, our chef that evening. It would be a sin to miss out on a carvery if you're coming here, and definitely don't pass up the opportunity to try their cakes either - you can take a slice home if you don't have room!
Visited on Tuesday the carvery looked lovely we had an all day breakfast absolutely fabulous ,staff were very friendly and we had excellent service come 12 lot's of people arrived for the carvery, worth a visit .
We went on an early Sunday evening, so we were expecting it to be busy, which was no surprise when we got there. We waited behind another couple to check in for our table but had no one look at us for 5 minutes to acknowledge we were there, due to it being so busy with lots of empty plates and glasses to be cleared off tables. We checked in and was asked if we could get a drink at the bar as our table was being prepared for us, so that was fine. There was a big queue but it was clearing quite quickly, which was good. We had a young lad serve us at the bar, and I think he was fairly new as he looked like a deer caught in the headlights, but he remained calm and took his time to make sure our order was correct. During this time we noticed people arriving and getting seated while we've been waiting to be seated as well so my partner asked the manager if the table was ready for us and he managed to find a table quickly. The food was brilliant, I have to say everything tasted fresh and really tasty and there was plenty there for everyone. It was a shame I couldn't finish it all, but I think I overindulged. I was looking forward to trying a slice of one of the cakes, but I wouldn't be able to have fitted it in. I will be on our next visit, though. It was nice for the manager to say goodbye and ask how everything was when we were leaving, which added a nice touch.
I attended a family event here and they reserved a section for us. The buffet they provided was tasty and hot. A bit noisy but that's what you expect with lots of kids around. Overall, a good experience.
Lovely carvery, meat was cooked perfectly. Turkey was tasty, and juicy. While the beef was just pink. The roast veg, where a little over done for me, but it was all enjoyable. I had the large eclair to take away, I wouldn't recommend this there was hardly any chocolate on the top and the cream tasted like foam. Staff where the friendliest we've encountered for a long time, happy and chatty. I would return .
