   Their staff are rude and clearly have no customer skills. Portions are small and overpriced. I can only recommend visiting another local fish and chip shop such as those located at Streetly Village or Beeches Walk.

   Absolutely fantastic Gluten free Wednesday experience. Professional service and perfect meal for my wife who is Coeliac. Massive fish with a delicious crispy batter, tasty curry sauce and large portion of GF chips all cooked separately in their own fryers and prepared and wrapped well away from regular products.stickers added to ensure gluten free food was identifiable. I had tasty tikka meat and salad which was also GF so my wife could have a taste before I added it to the pita bread I ordered which was wrapped individually to avoid cross contamination. All in all the food and service was 5 star and top notch.

   Just had two portions of fish & chips at the Crown. We recently moved up into the area and several people have recommended this shop. I can see why. Fish was freshly cooked and in a very light batter. Chips (and there were more than plenty for my wife & I) were hot, crispy but soft inside. Fabulous and huge portions. Don't be put off by some of the negative reviews here...all outlets can and do have ''off' days for a number of reasons but the new owner is open to constructive comment for any service which you think may be below par. I will most definitely be back and recommend to friends. Tim

   Used to be decent but online order have killed loyal customers that got to shop. You think your next in queue and about 10 online orders will be completed before you. Amount of times I've been waiting plus 20 minutes is a joke,walked out for the last time and will start using other chip shops instead

   What a lovely place and what a fantastic food business with very high standards! I had the Doner meat and chips and I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a kebab as much as I enjoyed that kebab! Lastly what an amazing bunch of staff this place has so welcoming! Definitely recommend this place, proper chippy!

   Very nice and polite staff hard workers work here everytime I go in there flying up and dow giving there customers excellent service everytime. The bad thing is its NOT ZHalal as I only eat halal as a muslim but there food look fresh and delicious they fry all food in same oil which even make the fish Haram.

   Like a few people I'd not been buying fish and chips for some while and I was surprised at the cost. But it was not as much as I'd expected! I thought the large Haddock and the large Cod we're a reasonable price and I must say my Haddock tasted delicious! And plenty of chips too! I know it's a difficult time with the prices of fish and oil sky rocketing but I thought the Crown was doing a great job and looking after their customers. Top marks folks. I'll be going back more often now.
