A few days before Christmas, it was busy but the service was first class, food was delicious and well worth the price. Staff were friendly and always made sure tables were kept clean and tidy. Will def return in the future. Car parking available for free behind the pub - just make sure you enter your details in the pub
Great experience at this restaurant, especially thanks to the bartender Ryan. His bar service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. I have food allergies, and Ryan took them seriously, clearly explaining ingredients and double-checking to make sure everything was safe. The drinks were great, the food was delicious, and Ryan’s care and professionalism really stood out. Highly recommend sitting at the bar and asking for him.
Tyreece is a gem. Lovely young lad. He is always happy to help and so kind. His service is spectacular. The fish and chips we had was also delightful and really cheap. Its a great pub and warm and welcoming.
Had wonderful trip to the Saracens Head with my husband over the weekend for our anniversary. The service truly made our little trip even more enjoyable with delicious food and friendly helpful staff, having a lovely chat. The pub had a warm atmosphere and made our special day even better. My husband and I can't fault our lovely lunch here and would recommend to anyone.
The inside of the pub was nice, warm and festively decorated for Christmas. I liked the pub itself, it was very clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely and friendly. The food however, let it down. My steak, although requested as medium to well was more like char grilled in most places. I asked for the tomato which was also char grilled to be replaced. This was gracefully done so by the waitress. Apart from this I didn't complain but, easily could have. I knew my food wasn't going to be great from the get go as I could smell burnt food when it arrived (on a sizzling skillet) at the table. My friends fish and chips wasn't that much better. The batter was too heavy, wasn't crispy and had to be removed. Chips were good. All in all, I was quite disappointed and won't be rushing back!
We tried out the new festive menu, Loved the new festive sizzler, the cheese sauce and vegetables were full of flavour, the smoked Turkey was fab and chicken cooked well, stuffing and pig in blanket were great additions. The festive nacho ho ho were not as good, the nachos tasted chewy, not like the normal nachos here which are really good. Not sure if they are cooked differently, but they aren’t as good. Great staff. Clean and tidy in the pub. Amber was very good and changed the nachos for us, without fuss.
Came here with my family for a meal out this past Sunday. Really amazing pub and quality food. Got served by a very lovely worker, maddy I think. She took our order, brought our drinks to the table as the one of the taps had gone and brought our desserts out in perfect time as we had just finished. Delightful experience
