My sister and I visited the restaurant for the first time on Saturday 4th October, I've got to say I was pleasantly surprised, the food was delicious, the service was superb, We will definitely be going back, would definitely recommend! :)
Amazing hospitality and food, friendly welcoming atmosphere from the minute I walked in. Honestly cannot fault this place and the food was impeccable. Cannot wait to come again.
Two of us on a Friday evening at 18:30. We have not been here since the new management and were pleasantly surprised. Clean and tidy. Staff were great, attentive and welcoming. Even checked if we were warm enough which is very thoughtful. Napkin laying, removing unwanted glasses and hot towels, these things for me are what makes a massive difference on the whole experience. Now, onto the food. Poppadoms and dips great. Starters let them down a little. Onion baji a little flat and doughy and sheesh kebab could have been warmer. Mains, the dishes we had were great my only critique was that I had a tawa and for me should come out sizzling and steaming but sadly did not. Naans great rice great. They do have a license so please support them and don’t take your own booze and drinks. Will we be returning? With service and main meals like that, we certainly will be.
Shocking service. Booked a table for 7.30pm still no food at 9pm. Don't know what time the food would arrive as there were 2 other tables ahead of us who were also thinking of walking. I asked the waiter at 8.30pm when our food would arrive, he said he would check and then dissappear never to be seen again. To be honest all the waiting staff had disappeared because the front of house was in melt down. As we left we spoke to a person on the front desk who said it was Saturday and busy. We stated that they should not take bookings if they cannot cope. I stated that I had been coming for 15 years and never seen it like this. It has been taken over, unfortunately for the worse. This used to be a good local restaurant who valued their customers. Not no more! People ordering takeaways were being prioritised over the restaurant and only waited 20 mins and had something to eat, not sitting wasting life for over an hour and half. Went to dixiechick3n in the end to get food. They need to sort it quickly and reach out to their customers who have walled out otherwise they will lose the very customers thar keep them where they are. Don't think we will here from them as they appear to above themselves but more importantly their customers who keep them in business.
Just had a meal delivered, cost £28 gave £30. Must say we will never order from here ever again. The food was swimming in water and tasteless. Ordered a King Prawn and Chicken Balti, no prawns in sight. The majority of it went in the bin.
Food is gorgeous as usual, been using for 15 years, not sure If have been taken over recently took over 2 hours to arrive, I ordered 3 poppadoms, lime pickle and extra mint sauce. Only thing delivered was curry x 2 ,rice x1 and 1x naan bread, pretty disappointing.
2 hours we waited for delivery!! It took me ringing again to ask where my order was!! when the order got delivered , it was wrong and cold!!! £36 wasted!!! There excuse was : "they were busy" !!! Don't take delivery orders then!!!
The food was tasty and the service friendly. I enquired about the Masala Fish which is listed under the tandoori section of the menu. I was expecting fish cooked in the tandoor but got coated fried fish. It was very tasty but I couldn't eat it as I am trying to lose weight. The daal was lovely
