Said 40-55 mins took 1hr 50 mins. Thought i would give benefit of the dought and it happened again. Never using them again
I'm always trying new Chinese takeaways and I have to say the one I tried tonight,'Lucky House', Hollybank road goes to the top of my list. Delicious Salt & Pepper Tofu cooked just right and the best crispy chips I've ever had from a Chinese. Looking forward to trying other food from the menu. I can't mark the Atmosphere because I had food delivered.
Everything was over salted, prawn crackers were stale, sweet and sour chicken so small that it didn’t appear to contain any meat at all let alone chicken. Wouldn’t order this for my worst enemy. WOULD RATHER STARVE THAN ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN
We have been eating food from here for over 20 years. Obviously it has changed hands at some point. Over the last few months the food has been way too spicy! Asked for my curry to be milder, it came like soup! Had been watered down! Surely a good chef can make a milder sauce, without just adding water! Phoned up to point this out, person on phone confirmed that water had been added as they batch make the sauce. I didn't want soup!! They didn't seem to care either way! Disappointed with the service, which is a shame as I used to like the food from here. Will have to go elsewhere in future.
Wouldn’t even rate you 1 star very disappointing. After ordering online at 20 past 10 my order was confirmed With an estimated delivery time. Yet you did not answer your phones or show up.
Having waited an hour for a delivery I got a notification from Just Eat to say my food was on the way!!!! Minutes later I get another notification to say that the order had been cancelled!!!!! Not what you need at 11pm and hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one tried to call or nothing!!! When I called to see what was happening I was told that the driver had left the area now and that nothing could be done!! The man on the phone was far from helpful!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID
Sadly the new owners are not as diligent towards the loyal customer base the old owners amassed. The standard of the food and the customer service Is shocking. I was a loyal customer for over 10 years. The food was excellent, customer service was amazing. Sadly the new owners do not listen correctly to orders especially when there is an allergy to be cautious of. Ordered 3 meals asked for no bamboo shoots or pork. All three meals full of pork and bamboo shoots. Personally collected as they don't take card payments anymore ( Clearly to defraud the inland revenue by fiddling the books. ) Arrived home to find food is unacceptable Then when I complained, I was told fresh meals would be delivered straight away within 30 mins. Now the previous owners would of kept that promise. However spoke to them at 10pm. My food never arrived til 11.20pm. I'm calling repeatedly to which they are ignoring my calls. In the end as I know the delivery driver I called his number to ask where my food was considering I'm disabled & heavily pregnant. I was told oh we had another order so we cooked that and sent the driver to deliver that and then brought my Luke warm food to me at 11.20pm. The previous owners would of recooked my fresh meal and sent it forthwith as they knew they were at fault esp as there is an allergy warning on the order. This ignorant owner did not care or have the consideration to even apologise. The replacement was cold and not of the standard of how the previous owners would cook with love and respect. Even my godson was given food poisoning he was sick a whole weekend from this shop when he ordered prawn fried rice, Pls avoid this place like the plague. I certainly will not go back or send anyone else to eat from here.
Ordered from here for the 1st time and wasnt disappointed. Delivery took a while but came on time which we didnt mind because Everything we ordered tasted amazing and quality was great. The portion sizes were huge. We ordered special curry and chips,salt and pepper crispy shredded beef,salt and pepper chicken wings and sweet n sour chicken balls. And a curry sauce. We also received a free bottle of pop and a bag of prawn crackers which was a lovely gesture. Thanks for a great service. We will definitely be ordering again soon . Keep up the good work.
