Staff was really behaved bad.we just visited first time and we ordered 2 starter and hard drinks …we didn’t like food at all, quality and quantity was not as per exception and said we didn’t want main course and they said”tell us before if you want 2 starters only because with 2 starters our expenses was not covered “ what the bullish they said. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, this was really bad experience with them …zero star.

Great friendly staff, a nice menu that is different and has some unique flair which worked, in a nice restaurant. Will be back!

I have visited this restaurant twice and also ordered four deliveries this summer while I’ve been staying with my mum. The food is absolutely superb. We have the lamb kaalia every time which is incredibly delicious and fragrant (as well as very chili-hot). We have also thoroughly enjoyed the lamb Ceylon, the dhal tarka and the Palak paneer and baigan jool. This is our favourite Indian restaurant and we can’t get anything nearly as good in the area we live in in London. The onion bhajis are also amazing - crispy and soft.

This has got to be the best Indian restaurant ever … the food is absolutely delicious and the staff are the friendliest I’ve ever met…. I try to get here whenever I visit Birmingham and totally recommend others try it

It's arguably "the" place to go to in the area based on the dining room presentation and great service. We couldn't find fault with anything, but obviously the food is down to personal preference. The presentation of the sheekh kebab was excellent, served on a skillet with an impressive looking salad. As we shared the starter they generously provided an additional salad plate. I like my food packed with flavour and a bit of heat. Similarly do does the wife but with much less heat. Just for a change I went with a sag pathia, the wife a dupiaza. Superb chicken in both our mains, and we enjoyed the sides. One odd thing was that the Kulfi dessert comprised of two of those "dalek" looking portions. Not the cheapest around but well worth it especially as you can take your own alcohol. Parking may be an issue but it's definitely worth a short walk if needed.

Visited Zaalsha tonight and the food was absolutely perfect. I would recommend visiting if you haven’t already. Zaak and the team were 10/10 for customer service and taking care of us and the food was levels above any Indian restaurant I’ve visited in the last 20 years - last time we had food this good was at teknaf 20 odd years ago (also owned by zaak) Wonderful as always and we will be back again soon

Nice interior and good service. Starters and sides very good and tasty but mains all tasted the same. The base gravy used lacked flavour so the dishes had quite a bland taste. A shame as everything else was good.

Really enjoyed my visit to Zaalsha and they have lots of vegan options. The team are really friendly and make sure you have a really good time whilst at their restaurant. It's a great atmosphere and would definitely recommend.
