    I have visited a few times since new management took over. It is clean and the staff are friendly. The food is cooked fresh and it is great quality. Prices are reasonable and they include a mug of tea or coffee. They usually have the radio playing on the large TV and will turn down the sound if it is too loud (some radio stations are louder than others), this helps to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. Sometimes I will have a Full English breakfast but on my last visit I had homemade cottage pie with chips for £6.50 which came with a mug of tea. I highly recommend this cafe.

    Went for breakfast on Friday and have to say it was very nice too...staff was really welcoming and didn't have to wait long without a doubt we will be returning for another tbreakfast next week. X

    Omg what has happened to the restaurant!! Not a great service at all. Long queues, empty tables that had not been cleared and probably more staff needed. Second time now and we just decided to not bother! Webbs is great.......but the restaurant now is not!

    Just had a breakfast with my mom here at the Village Kitchen and it was brilliant. I had a medium breakfast and it was fantastic, delicious ingredients, well cooked and served by lovely hardworking staff. The 2 girls serving were rushed off their feet and myself and my mom appreciated their hard work. Thank you

    My fav type of place to eat is the no-non sense 'does what it says on the tin' kitchen restaurant type. Usually in a humble working class town. Where you get a well cooked full English breakfast & a drink for 6.50 quid. No fancy decorations. No pretentiousness. A warm welcoming vibes with everyone chatting to you asking how you are. You leave with a full tummy, a warm heart after a straight up affordable meal. Simple and great.

    Positive: Good breakfast for the money, nice runny eggs :-D quickly served. Atmosphere was warm and a nice wood theme. Plenty of space for wheelchairs and prams. Negative: No mega issue but plate was quite small so was a struggle to cut things when first began the meal. As I said no mega issue but anyone with dexterity issues would perhaps struggle.

    The village kitchen gave a raffle prize for a charity run, I won it and tried their breakfast, it was lovely. Very welcoming, lovely cafe and the food was yummy!!

    For something so simple and cheap, had no complaints. We don't seem to have these cosy little places back home. Just nice and peaceful while you eat. Staff were great too
