My mom sister and I ate here today 16/12/25 for lunchtime. We didn’t book and they catered for our needs. First class service and food always delicious and piping hot. Good value for money and we had a pudding which was delightful. Always served with a smile and always welcome.

Would like to thank the staff for their support and service while we had my dad’s wake there a few weeks ago. We was able to have the bar area to ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble. Only bit of feedback from me would be that we ordered tea/coffee and cookies as well as the buffet. It was great walking in having the tea/coffee there waiting for us. It wasn’t until we had the buffet later that the cookies came out. I hadn’t realised at the time maybe they were missed unintentionally. But they would have been nice for everyone to have with the hot drinks on arrival as was expected, as that was part of the tea/coffee/ cookie package. Will highly recommended to friends and family. Thank you

Weve just had our family festive xmas meal at the Wernley, lovely pub, usually warm but heating was broke but just warm enough not to be uncomfortable. (Hope they get it fixed soon). Friendly staff, very helpful with taking our various payments for our meal, taxi number etc. The food was excellent for the price of under £19 for 3 courses with crackers!! The only thing that was negative was a large party of young adults with young kids & toddlers running around, screaming, crying etc no parental control whatsoever but not the pubs fault i suppose.

Had a joint family Xmas meal and 80th birthday celebration here on Friday and they catered for our group of 13 brilliantly. Food came out all together and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Julie and the team.

A group of 8 of us had lunch here in late November 2025. Overall first impression is of a 'cash cow' pub. Service was very good, lovely staff. Food was of very good value, well presented and beautifully cooked. No problem with the kitchen at all, in fact we have decided to meet up here again.

We visited The Wernley last Sunday on route to our son’s football game. Upon entering the pub we were greeted by two bubbly and friendly members of staff. The staff members that were on shift couldn’t do enough to help us, they were attentive and chatty. They really made us feel welcome even though this was our first time in the pub as we live a fair distance away. They catered for our allergies without fuss. The food was cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. The pub and toilets were clean. There was ample parking. The customer service was exceptional I can’t recommend this venue enough to all. The experience here was honestly overwhelmingly outstanding. Well done to the team keep up the amazing work you are doing. If in the future we are over that side of the city we will 100% return.

Avoid this place, terrible customer service and food.if I could give 0 stars I would, when receiving our food my mother food was burnt to a crisp, the server was so rude about this stating that she was busy, at no point did my mother shout at her, my sister asked for bbq sauce the same server then rudely said you have to pay for it, which was not a problem but the expression on her face showed us that she clearly had an issue with us as a table. When I approached the assistant manager to speak about her unprofessional behaviour the same server comes from around the bar to have an argument with me in front of the whole restaurant, this really shocked and took me back as I have never experience such absurd customer service in my life, at no point did the restaurant assistant manager intervene but let her speak to me in this rude way, she even had the audacity to say as a paying customer I was “unprofessional” due to voicing my opinion on how I was being dealt with. Now correct em if I’m wrong but employed of a restaurant shouting at a customer is one of the most unprofessional things you can do especially in front of a while restaurant. The Assistant manager didn’t even bother coming over afterwards to our table to try and sort the situation but instead we had to approach him at the end of our visit, he stated that his been busy and hasn’t been able to come over and maybe I should try doing his job which again as a manager should not even of been said, he carried on acting as if we was the problem even when he did not know the full story of what happened. Over I’m just really shocked of the service and how we were dealt with, I would never return and can say that this place have gone down hill from previous years.

Ordered from Deliveroo. Delivery time was pretty decent. Food was amazing. All fresh and delicious. Chips crispy and thick. I've so far tried only the beef burger and the chicken burger, both amazing, great flavour. Beef one so juicy it drips with juice when you eat it. Garlic baguette with cheese amazing, the complementary sauce has a really great smokey barbeque taste. Overall really great food. Amazing. Have ordered multiple times from here now and every time it does not disappoint.

Popped in here last night for food and a drink and wasn't disappointed. Food was really good, reasonably priced and excellent service. If you want good pub food locally, I would highly recommend.
