“Heard a few people recommend this place, so I gave it a try yesterday. Friendly and welcoming staff, restaurant nicely decorated and big screen TVs all around so great for having a meal and beers while watching the sports. Quick turnaround from placing the order to food being served on the table. Large mixed grill would happily do three people.”

“First time I've visited this pub following the change of ownership (was the phoenix), the food was amazing, the best I've had for a while. The staff were really nice & made us feel welcome. If you've not tried this pub for a while, I would definitely advise you to give it a try.”

“This is our local pub, previously we would have never bothered coming here but the new owners have done a fantastic job. The food in particular has seen a dramatic improvement; I don't think I'd be exaggerating when I say it's the best curry I've had in Birmingham! Keep up the great work guys.”

“Quality and reasonable Indian fare, staff are friendly, the place is practical but pleasant enough. Always swing by on our bi-annual area visit. If you've not tried it, I'd say it's worth the visit. Great for a family get together, big or small groups, would recommend you book though as can get busy.”

“I visited The British Queen with my friend, and while the pub is old, there was enough seating available. The food is really good – we had the mixed grill, chili chicken, and butter chicken, all of which were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place for a satisfying meal.”

“I hired a room for my Mom's wake after the funeral. Everything i asked for food wise was there. The food was freshly made and good quality. They made us Vegan options which were fresh and delicious. They even put my Mom's favourite music on. I couldn't have asked for anything more. It was perfect”

“This is the best bar and grill in Birmingham. Hemant and Lakshmi are amazing members of staff who are so wonderfully brilliant. “Weve just had our family festive xmas meal at the Wernley, lovely pub, usually warm but heating was broke but just warm enough not to be uncomfortable. (Hope they get it fixed soon). Friendly staff, very helpful with taking our various payments for our meal, taxi number etc. The food was excellent for the price of under £19 for 3 courses with crackers!! The only thing that was negative was a large party of young adults with young kids & toddlers running around, screaming, crying etc no parental control whatsoever but not the pubs fault i suppose.”
