Waiting over 15 mins just for some chips, cheese and gravy and saveloy. A woman came in and ordered after me, she had burgers, chips scallops and got hers before me? Not impressed and won’t be visiting again.
Ordered 4 items. All 4 were terrible. Paid £2.95 for this piece of chicken. Had to throw it away! They gave us a beef and onion pie instead of Chicken and Mushroom The curry sauce wasnt cooked well and was full of big lumps The roe was cold inside. Literally cannot get any worse...
Phoned many times they didnot picup and after waiting 30 minutes what I get burned food. Ordered 2 burgers. How can someone eat that much burned food.
By far the best Chip shop! All the staff are so welcoming and lovely, food is wonderful and made exactly how you like it. The battered chips are beautiful. There is something that everyone will enjoy on the menu.
Since ridge chippy has gone on the 3 delivery sites the quality and time taken to deliver has gone downhill dramatically. Battered chips aren't battered and soggy sausages are dry and cold, curry sauce us like water and fish is very greasy. It's so disappointing as they were pur favourite and supplied great fish and chips. Hence, we will look elsewhere for our chips etc.
Free parking outside the shop, the staff here are warm and give you a friendly welcome and even attempt conversation which is nice because build good rapport with the local community. Food itself was okay, my first time here and had a mixed meat kebab with chips. The chips itself was covered in some sort of batter. I think they should inform you what the batter is as some people could be allergic to some of the ingredients used. The meat two types of chicken and donner meat. The one style of chicken was strange like it was left overs. The other was freshly carved chicken pieces. Some people may love this type of kebab and chips. But it wasn’t for me.
We've been going here for many years and thought we had built a good relationship with the owners. However, our latest order failed to live up to expectations as it had a hair within the chips themselves. We went back to the shop and I thought I would pull them to the side and tell them quietly as I didn't want other customers to get put off but before I even walked through the door I was told there was nothing they can do, without even asking what the issue is. When I mentioned there was a hair in the chips again I was told in a raised that it isn't there problem. They didn't show any customer loyalty towards us, did not try and rectify their mistake and only after prompting and repeating myself over and over again they reluctantly gave us the money back. When suggesting that they should keep hair up and wear hair nets I was told that she cooks for her family at home who don't have a problem but family and customers are two very different things. After this experience I would not be going back and definitely would not recommend them due to poor customer service and very poor hygiene. 1 star is being too generous, its a shame google doesn't go any lower.
Food took 45 minutes to arrive and it was dry like it had been reheated I know good fish and chips and this was nothing near.Total waste of money
Food wrapped beautifully but temperature and quality a massive let down, naan with salad was soggy, absolutely soaked with sauce, and the naan itself was a horrible texture, thick like raw dough and overall disappointing, chips also soggy and cold, wasn’t a nice taste and again disappointing. Battered sausage too thick with batter, cold, tasteless. Overall, wouldn’t order ever again. Waste of money. Best thing about this order was the cold Diet Coke.
