   Me and my misses were staying in a hotel locally but fancied going out for a meal. This place came up on Google. We were amazed by the festive lights outside. The pub is very traditional inside Warm, Nicely lit and spacious. Seated by a polite waitress, Food and drink orders taken with great service. Steak pie and Lasagne arrived, Big helpings of home made, Good quality food. We'd recommend these 2 dishes. Great range of food and drinks available, Clean, Welcoming and good value fir money. Would willingly return if in the locality for a meal or drinks.

   Our first visit for Sunday lunch and definitely not the last! Each part of the meal was delicious. The service was great with friendly and professional staff. I would go as far to say it was the nicest Sunday lunch I've had!

   Excellent, v tasty food, served promptly. We sat outside at the front and the 20mph road was quiet on a Sat lunchtime. There is plenty of outdoor seating under cover at the front of the carpark but these tables were booked out for a private function when we visited.

   Fantastic place great food Called in for a second visit today and once again the food was great and the service was spot on Very large portions cooked to perfection, with a limited but very balanced menu realy letting local produce shine. The whole experience was fantastic and we will definitely be vack very soon.

   Prices are higher than surrounding area but its worth it. The three of us ahas fish and chips and steak and ale pie. The fish and chips were excellent, batter was crispy and tasty and the chips were well cooked, they also accommodated us with garden peas rather than mushy. The portions were very generous. My partner had the pie and she enjoyed the meat and veg and chips but the pastry was flavourless and the portion was too much for her. I finished off with sticky toffee pudding and custard which was excellent. Overall we were happy and would come again.

   I had the most wonderful time on Saturday, as did my family. And for that I thank you. I understand that individuals might have been affected by the volume of people but a full review must touch on the EXTRAORDINARY planning behind Saturday. A great Christmas light show, Santa, a choir and brass band. All just amazing. Also both pie and peas and indoor dining available, all to the highest quality and standard. This was the best start to the festive season and I enjoyed every second. Well done to all and I will look forward to next year.

   Visited for Sunday Lunch, early afternoon booking. Have to book in advance due to popularity although they have plenty of footfall asking for availability. Busy pub/restaurant with traditional decor and cozy atmosphere. Friendly and attentive front of house staff. Generous portions for starter and the roast was ample although I'd personally prefer more roast potatoes. Great sized Yorkshire pudding on the plate as well.

   Called in for a drink and food. Nice outside space (covered deck area) and a large car park. The young staff could have been a little more friendly (no welcome or thank you's after serving - but that's kids these days I suppose). The food was lovely, well presented and plenty of it.

   Update 30/07 - What an amazing place to come for food!! Great portions sizes, well presented, cracking price, and sifferent options to your usual pub grub. Will definitely be returing again. Great little quirky village pub. Extremely popular, Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Menu looked great but had unfortunately stopped serving food at 6pm on a Sunday. Outdoor area looked amazing, when the weather is favorable.
