   We arrived at Pollo Chicken Place at Xscape at 12:05pm, hoping to buy some chicken for lunch. Although the website said the restaurant opened at 11:30am, and it was well past this time, there were people inside who refused to open the restaurant. We waited for 5 minutes, and even though they saw us, they made no effort to serve us. We eventually gave up and went to 5 Guys instead. I would give Pollo Chicken Place one star, but zero if I could!

   NEVER EAT HERE - Attended Pollo Castleford on the 13th of February. There was a 20 minute wait which we said was fine. However we had to wait at least 30 minutes before I reminded the waitress we had been waiting for our food and she said she would get on it. Our food was out within 5 minutes and it seemed nice at first until my partner suggested they thought their chicken seemed raw. After quick inspection we realised the chicken was not at all cooked and still looked fleshy like it had came straight out of the fridge. My partner tried to send it back, just hoping for an apology and some new food but the waiter sent him back with the food to eat claiming it was spices. WHO IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY SENDS SOMEONE BACK TO EAT RAW CHICKEN ? I was prepared to take this matter up privately with management but since who I think was the manager, Alex Cook has heard no one was ill and we weren’t prepared to accept a voucher from Pollo Leeds as we weren’t from that area nor we have both been fully put off chicken for life now, they have decided to sweep it under the rug and ignore my emails like it isn’t a big deal. This is unacceptable and disgusting and I would highly recommend to never ever visit here. We also spoke to someone else who was eating there and also reaffirmed that their food was disgusting. No level of poor staffing should show such incompetence in a restaurant.

   YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE!!! Seriously, it's the nicest Chicken Schawarma I've ever had .. .and their doner kebab is even better! And they serve MASSIVE portions too, not these weedy ones that you get at other food outlets. You'll never leave this place hungry and the staff here are fantastic. If you're in Xscape Retail Centre, make sure you visit this place at least once in your life ... you won't regret it. :)

   Wow what an amazing place. Talk about portions! Really good value for money. We had a doner box and chicken mix box. The gravy is to die for and is packed full of chicken. Definitely worth a look in

   Move over KFC, pack your bags Nandos, there's a new Chicken Guru in town! Ordered a couple of boxes fries and a kids meal and we were defeated by volume. Seems costly at first but HUUUUUUUGE portions for what you pay. Shwarma fries came in a shoe box, a side of mac and cheese is a full portion of pasta for one, boxes are pizza boxes! It's not all about volume though. They tastes are sensational. Tenders are crunchy coated most filled fingers of joy, Eddie's sauce is a tangy sensation, and even the kids popcorn chicken was cooked to perfection. The side of gravy obliterates the famous KFC by being fresher, tastier, thicker and for some delightful reason, littered with actual chicken meat, Col Sanders would be mightily impressed then weep into his secret recipie as his crown falls. Its not all poultry though as they do burgers too which have wonderful names like "The Kev" "The Pablo" and the awesome "The Gary". And if you're feeling veggie there's Haloumi and plant based too. The only few little downsides is the layout, small area and tiny tables and the lack of real drink options (cans of standard pop and mini water bottles). Its designed more like a post pub munch-station than an eateries as it sits in the Xscape next to the likes of F&B and Bella Pasta, but the unit is small itself. Would crush outside a big nightclub, but in the Xscape will need to focus on the eat and run brigade. The seating coupled with the new laminate flooring meant you could literally slide across the room with a gentle push which entertained the kids for a few moments when I spun round in circles, but nothing a few fabric stickers in chair legs wouldn't solve. Oh......and they do delivery!!!
