   We sampled the festive menu (3 courses) and wasn't disappointed. Between us we ordered drinks, plus: *Gambas al pil pil (king prawns in chilli and garlic oil with toasted sour dough bread) x2 *Pan roasted turkey escalope *Blade of beef *Apple, fig & ginger crumble *Melting chocolate fondant. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly! Ego is tastefully decorated and a very warm and welcoming restaurant and bar. The bar and wait staff were friendly, professional and helpful. I will definitely return and would recommend to others. My only suggestion would be to not have such loud musicians playing. When we went the was a very talented saxophone player, however he was incredibly loud (i appreciate saxophones are!). Luckily we weren't sat directly next to him but others were. I can imagine that for some it would be difficult to hear conversations at the table or could get a bit much. This was a shame because he was good and its nice to have live music in a restaurant.

   Attended for Bottomless brunch, food was really good, tasty and hot. Drinks were good, plenty of choice, good value for money. Waitresses very attentive. The only criticism i have is the music stopped at 5, would have been nice to have throughout the whole of the brunch. But still had a good time and nice surroundings. Thank you

   Called in for a late lunch and not that busy, had a lovely lunch from the fixed price 3 course menu. Served by the wonderful Emma that looked after us and was able to recommend from the menu and engaged in conversation nicely. Pleasantly surprised and would recommend to others, we will definitely drop by again. Well done and thanks Emma

   Visited for Mother's Day - having been before and having an excellent experience, it's was a slightly disappointing experience, particularly given the price of the set menu. They were busy, but seemed to have a lot of staff on, yet service was very, very slow (for a 2hr time slot/sitting) it took over 30 mins to take our order despite trying to get attention to place it for 20 mins, and an hour before we received our starters. The food was tasty, but not of the same standard or quality as when we have been previously (the belly pork was excessively fatty, not crisped, and gristly). My mother-in-law is only able to eat a small amount of food due to a medical condition, yet she still had to order 3 courses from the set menu. They also started clearing plates from the party whilst others were still eating even trying to take my son's plate when he'd only eaten one slice out of 4 from his pizza - all because we were approaching the end of our 2hr slot (because they'd been slow in service). The high score is based on an accumulative score from previous experience, as for mother's day alone it would likely have been only 2 stars. We will be back again, just not on a special occasion day in all likelihood.

   The Gardner came in with boots and watering cans to do the real plants sure he could have done it before or after opening times not while people where eating and I have a dog but would not dream of taking it to such pleasant surroundings when people a relaxing and eating the staff where great and food very nice it was my birthday treat from my daughter it was cool not warm heating could have been turned up just a little

   Love visiting this place. Delicious food at great prices. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and efficient. They offer a very good selection of Mediterranean dishes and the steaks are of the highest quality. Give a hanging kebab a try, they are absolutely delicious and great value for money. They also welcome dogs in the conservatory area which is a huge plus point. The beer garden is lovely when the weather is fine.

   Friendly staff, clean environment. Good menu choices. Despite being very quiet we had to wait 30 minutes between courses, which when they eventually arrived were excellent. We did inform the front of house who said they would address the kitchen re-waiting time. Otherwise a nice dining experience.
