   A group of us had a family get together in the private room in The King Arthur pub next to Our Plaice in Hagley. We pre-ordered our food and the staff from the fish and chip shop were amazing they delivered on time all the orders were correct and everyone was pleased with the quality of the food So a big thank you to everyone at Our Plaice

   Walked in to find absolutely no food on display, but assured food was cooked fresh, to order. Ordered two small fish, regular chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. On opening the chips, very disappointed to find what I could only describe as greasy scraps, hardly a chip in sight. The fish was ok, nothing to get excited about or worth £17. We returned to the shop to explain our disappointment, only to be informed they could take our details for a return visit and would check the remaining chips, hardly a satisfactory outcome. Won’t return!

   Decent portions and it’s fairly priced. Fish was made to order as well. Large fish, large chips, curry sauce, and chicken kebab in pitta with salad came to just over £19. I’ve had better at Merchants in Stourbridge which is our usual. Still not bad and friendly enough staff!

   I live in California now, but I always crave proper fish n chips when I visit home. Not many places are decent any more so I always have to drive a little further to come here. The fish n chips are delicious. Cooked in beef dripping which is the only way they should ever be done.

   Decent food but very expensive, large chips £3.80!! will barely fill a toddler either. Service can often be very slow, 30+ minute wait on a Friday and Saturday night.

   Portions better at least this time but they were definitely reheated and not fresh. Oil tasted old and overcooked chips. Not good. Could have been because they weren't busy due to snowy weather and not keeping lots in but really not good .

   Fish n chips are beautiful. I have travelled around through work and honestly this the best fish n chips that I have ever tasted. Been there twice and food was superb both times. Fair price for the quality of food. Friendly staff, if you are in or near Hagley go and sample. You won't be disappointed.

   Very expensive and poor quality usually use the our plaice in Halesowen which is always fantastic but this must not be the same people and if it is a finger or two needs to be pulled out as this is totally unacceptable. Fish was all batter and no fish chips where like they had been reheated/ left in the chip box for ages. Seriously dissatisfied, disappointed and frustrated with this quality. Use to be such a wonderful shop years ago what’s actually happened?

   Great little, no nonsense, old fashioned fish and chip shop. Good quality and generous portion. I had the small cod, chips and side(mushy peas) in box, which cost £6.70. The size was as much as I could manage and there was no waste. Not the fastest service and the staff could've been more cheerful, but hey, we all have days like that - not for me to judge. Anyway, I give it 5 stars because it was tasty(nice quality cod), very hot, well presented and the premises were very clean and tidy.
