   For me this is the quintessential British Chippy; no frills, just great fish, great chips, and nice honest British folk behind the counter. The prices are lower than in my local chippys, so that's a bonus. He makes your fish from slightly smaller pieces, so I was a bit worried when I saw them going in, as I thought I was just getting one piece, but you actually end up with more fish (and more lovely batter) than you normally would with a slightly larger single fish. They do all the usual stuff, and have picked up the latest 'Irish gravy' thing, which is nice and tasty (although my cousin, who ran a very popular fish and chip shop in Killarney, Ireland had never heard of 'Irish curry' haha. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back. Thanks for looking after me, it was £10 well spent and it kept me going on my 7 hour journey to Portsmouth!

   Lovely food but the guy frying the fish is a bit moody, he could crack a smile seen as i spend £20 plus everytime i go in. Makes me feel like its a local Fish Shop for local people.

   Without question the best fish and chips Iv had in the whole of Yorkshire! Genuinely I was shocked how good they are. First time visiting today with 2 lads at work, we all agreed they are untouchable, seriously get yourself in! Fish chips and curry sauce x3 10/10 faultless highest of standards for a fish shop! I genuinely can’t wait to go back.

   I bet these chips were lovely last Wednesday when they were made, had to bin 4 portions today (17:30) as they tasted like they had been re-fried from dinner time. They were incredibly dry and tasted old. Honestly disgusting, will be taking my custom to King Street Fisheries from now on.
