Me, my mum and sister called in for a spot of lunch and we weren't disappointed!! It's a lovely little cafe in the midst of a garden centre which is a beautiful setting as the flower garden is your view from the window. The staff were very friendly and we were seated fairly quickly. We placed our order, and the food smelled amazing while we were waiting, we only had to wait about 10 mins for the food to come out. The food looked beautiful and tasted amazing :-) I had the duck egg (poached) and wild mushroom on bruschcetta with hollandaise sauce and it was absolutely divine and cooked perfectly, I would highly recommend ordering this from the menu. My sister got the carpa plate which was goats cheese, tomato and caramelised onion on bruschcetta with balsamic and salad and it tasted amazing it was such a well balanced dish and my mum had a ham and mustard sandwich on brown bread and it was very nice but the cheesy chips as a side were so tasty. We decided to be naughty and order dessert which was the white chocolate and raspberry pancakes too share and the where so light and fluffy and it looked so pretty and tasted superb as you will see from the pictures. I would highly recommend visiting this cafe and were definitely visiting for lunch again.

The food is amazing, home cooked, very tasty. My son fancied something different so had waffles, the presentation was increadable. He thoroughly enjoyed them. I had steak sandwich with home cooked chips. Very nice indeed. Highly recommend, well worth a visit. You may have to wait for a table however it is worth the wait. Staff are very welcoming. Well done ladies.

Wow. Honestly the attention to detail Blakes has is 10/10. This was our first time visiting as we were on a weekend trip away. The staff were great, very accommodating, helpful and friendly. The food we had was delicious and was a good price for the portion served. I would definitely come back if I was ever in the area again. Even though it was a little busy there was not a long wait for 4 people.

A real mother's day treat breakfast at Blakes. First ever visit. Daughter booked for us she's been to the garden centre before but has never managed to get in here. There's no booking normally so you just have to stand and wait for a table. In the past she's been told an average of 45mins wait which she hasn't done so this was a first for us both. Lovely food excellent service I can see why its so popular.

Such an amazing place to go. The staff are amazing, the food is sublime with the highest level of detail. We had the Grinch pancakes which were lovely and a nice seasonal twist. Even if you don't need anything from the garden centre, you'll have a lovely time here.

As we made our way down from Leeds to Blake’s for a birthday celebration treat by the enticement of the the photos, the place was one of three options and it was decided that we head to eat here. I ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs with maple syrup (pictured) with a large latte. And my friend ordered biscoff waffles with an indulgent hot chocolate. The wait wasn’t long for food. And the drinks arrived shortly after the food was served, all round good timing ratio from seat, order taken to serving. However, the pancakes did not come with maple syrup but golden syrup?! There’s noticeably a huge difference in taste and customers should be made aware. The eggs that came with the pancakes were served with dirty excess oil and had been cooked in oil which had evidently been used to cook something to do with onions (cross contamination) comes to mind, and the under side of the eggs were overcooked. Having pushed the eggs too aside I ate what I could. Waffles - would’ve been much better should they have been freshly made to order, not shop bought/from a packet. Very dry and crumbly. Not much on the plate to accommodate the dryness. I see a lot goes into the presentation of your food, as people eat with their eyes. But not always. You can serve what you serve all day, but it lacks taste. Is anybody in house tasting/rating these dishes from time to time? The drinks were great! Lovely coffee and at relatively fair price too. Top marks! Over all great reception, and greeting from welcoming waitresses. With it been the colder days (today being one) it would’ve been lovely to have seen that real fire roaring away in the corner! Such a shame to not have that it in use?

The definition of mixed bag. With a 30 minute wait to get in, expectations were high as to what we were about to get. I orderd an eggs bene with a large latte, my partner ordered smashed avo. The Eggs Benedict was presented well, two eggs on an English muffin with ham and light salad on top, covered in a hollandaise sauce. It came together nicely with consistent flavour throughout, but it lacked a stand out thing that would make me want to order it again. My partners food started off well, but the eggs were popped before they came so the toast that the food was on was soggy which was quite the let down! The coffees were on point, a well rounded brew that was creamy as it was flavoursome. Coffee, was a win. With a 30 minute turn around for an otherwise largely vacant coffee shop (only about half the tables were in use), it does make you wonder if you needed to wait or whether it's a ploy to make you go around the garden centre while you wait. The quick food turn around time made me think this even more. Great for Karen watching as people get turned away from a place that normally you'd expect to get seated in as there was always plenty of space.
