We were a very large group with lots of children! Part of our party were also delayed. The team managed fantastically well without complaint. The food was very good and there’s a great choice of drinks. Highly recommended
The Mayflower at Austerfield Lovely village pub/hotel, perfect location for Doncaster & Surrounding areas We booked in The Mayflower for overstay night. It's looks a lovely pub, didn't try any of the food, as we where in hurry to get to an event but the menu looks good decent variety The staff where very friendly & helpful upon our arrival Few little issues. otherwise would have even 5 stars The Mayflower don't do breakfasts. The plug was missing for the sink in the en-suite. The plug hole itself wasn't clean. needs a serious clean There's no shelf in the shower to put anything on. The tea / coffee facilities there wasn't any spoons
Had a lovely stay here. Bed very comfortable. The only downside in the room itself was that there could have done with being a bit more coffee and there is no ventilation in the bathroom so condensation on the ceiling after showering. Food was really nice. We only had starters as we were attending an event in the evening at the pub but they were very very nice and we will be back for a proper meal in the future. Bar staff Very attentive and helpful.
I stayed for one night, when visiting friends in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean rooms. Good bar. Decent sized car park. Comfortable bed. Good shower / bath towels etc. One small thing: They don’t offer breakfast. The kitchen did though make us a very good sandwich to take on our way for the next morning.
Our wedding reception was held here and afterwards we stayed in one of there fabulous rooms. Larrisa and all of her lovely staff were absolutely wonderful. Polite helpful and very patient with all of our guests. Larrisa was our wedding organiser, and what a fantastic job she did. The function room looked beautiful, just as I had asked it to be and nothing was too much trouble. We had a carvery for our wedding meal and it was agreed by all of my guests, that the food was delicious. So would I recommend this venue……..YOU BET. Thank you to all involved with our day, but especially LARRISA. You are a star!
I went for lunch on Fri 13th Dec with a friend. We chose the Lamb Hotpot from the Senior Moments menu at £6 for the main course & it was delicious, served with green veg's & a slice of warm, brown baguette. When I paid I received a voucher for £5 off a meal in Jan-Mar 2020 & a reward card. We were very happy customers.
Food was good and the staff were excellent
Very nice inside, with friendly staff. The price of the food was steep, so would have expected great quality....... It was ok. Menu is very limited, not much choice at all and if your vegetarian then don't even bother, the choice is worse than any other place we have been too. The back page of the menu is a repeat of options from inside, so not as much as you think to choose from. We won't be returning. Disappointing.
Fair enough the staff are nice and the place is nice.BUT if you are charging the amounts that you do for all your food it needs to be perfect. £3:25 for a sauce i mean come on, not even that good. Steak was OK if that people on the next table sent back fish as it wasn't cooked. Wont be back. You need to look at your pricing. Down the road you can get the same stuff for 1/2 the price and its better.
An absolute delight. Lovely food, very very comfortable room (103), and lovely staff. The young lady on breakfasts was fantastic - did everything! And all with a smile. Would definitely stay here again, in a heartbeat. One warning though. The evening meals are SO filling, go easy or you'll have no room for dessert!! :)
