   Just had Sunday Lunch at the Sunn Inn Everton. Have to say the two guys running front of house were the best I’ve seen. As one left his station the other jumped in , Both had full control of who needed drinks who needed menus and who needed tables clearing, The phone answered within five rings , Both very much in control !! Also good shout out for the two young ladies waiting on. They too very concise and helpful all done with a smile and courteous manner. Last shout out for the food.. Best Sunday Lunch we’ve ever had. Be it may that I had fish and chips but also best I’ve had. Good menu with various options. Definitely be visiting again.

   Great Sunday lunch with family. More than adequate portion sizes, a delicious selection of vegetables and plenty of spare gravy!! Will definitely come back again for more. Staff were friendly and helpful and service was prompt and professional.

   I booked lunch for four of us midweek having been a couple of times before for Sunday lunch with my husband. My husband and brother had the BLT and my sister in law and I had the chicken kebab from the lunchtime menu. While the men enjoyed theirs, ours was well below par. The chicken was so overcooked and charred that it was difficult to chew. The fries were nice but the salad consisted of a few leaves and cherry tomatoes. The yoghurt and mint dressing was barely there. We would have expected to be asked if our meal was ok but nobody bothered. Had they done so I would have politely explained we weren't happy with our food. So we just ate it, paid and left to have a coffee somewhere else. I think basically they were indifferent to our presence. Not sure we'd go back especially since there are other good eating places nearby.

   Absolutely superb! This is how a country pub should be. The Sun Inn has a fantastic atmosphere with great decor. The food was excellent. The steak pie looks like THE thing to have. Unfortunately it was already sold out for the day. So lesson learned: get there early. The fish and chips were excellent. Scampi - superb. The chicken burger is huge. But also make sure you make room for desserts as well! Finally - the serving staff were probably some of the best I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. Seriously top notch!!! Will be back!!

   Last night we went to the Sun Inn, at Everton near Bawtry - another ‘new’ venue for us, and only half an hours drive away. This pretty gastro-pub comes well recommended by our local area groups, and we were most impressed! Our menu choices were soft shelled crab, and Scotch egg to start. Main courses were whole plaice, sea trout, lamb burger and Caesar salad. We couldn’t resist trying the desserts and we picked cherry Bakewell Eaton mess, and cookie dough brownie! The Sun has some great menu choices, there were lots of dishes we would like to try, so a repeat visit is certainly on the cards very soon! And it’s a very sociable venue - we were soon chatting to the ladies on the table next to us!

   Great country pub. Lots of drinks options and cocktails!! Beautiful outdoor seating area with firepit and heaters (now autumnal evenings are upon us) Food looked amazing although we didn't order ourselves on this occasion. Pub quiz was great fun. Another visit very soon with a larger group is planned. Thank you to the friendly staff,see you again soon.

   Visited with our puppy dog. It was her first time in a pub. Great attentive staff. Definitely dog friendly, dog water bowels and treats on the bar, I think there might have been dog beds in entrance hall, but I didn’t need one so didn’t check. Food was nice, gluten free options available. Portion, just right. I’ll be back and I don’t like eating out at all.

   Called in Wednesday night for tea lovely setting round the back of the pub with doors open on to a courtyard. My wife ordered steak pie and I ordered a mixed grill which came exactly as I ordered fantastic service from the staff we enjoyed so much our daughter went 2 days later for lunch and had a fantastic meal as well.

   Great pub between Bawtry and Gainsborough. Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff, clean and food was amazing, a decent price and portion. Menu has plenty on offer. Will definitely visit again
