   Great service and lovely staff food well cooked, if you do want your food, maybe slightly cooked your taste they will listen and ask the chef. And it's worked for me wonderfully. Excellent Nepal food.

   Me and my three children say down to an excellent meal last Tuesday evening. Starters and main meal with Gurkha special rices and a superb selection of naan breads. From the butter chicken to the lamb gurkhali it was delicious. Would recommend 100% with the attentive and welcoming staff to the atmosphere. Lovely evening

   As I walked in, they way the owners have set the atmosphere is amazing. There were massive framed pictures of nepal, which only added to the aromatic atmosphere. The staff was amazing and they were very kind to us. We ordered 2 colas, papadoms, grilled paneer, and chicken. The food took around 5 - 10 mins, but it was worth the wait. The paneer melts in your mouth as you take a bite of it. The chicken was good, and the mint sauce that it came with was amazing. 10/10. The papadoms soon came after, and oh my, was it delicious. You could not taste any oil, which is always a pleasant surprise. The mango chutney was a tad bit too sweet. However, it is still very good. I would highly recommend the yoghurt with mint sauce in it as that had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. We then ordered our mains, and we had okra and chicken and dal makni. The chicken was amazing, the flavour was amazing and you got a lot of pieces. The dal makni was very different to any other dals from other restaurants, and it was delicious. The okra was a unique taste, which I recommend if you are vegetarian and want to try something new. In the end, we got chocolate and vanilla ice cream . Throughout our stay, the chef came and interacted with all the tables asking how the food was. The waiters were so delightful as they kept asking if we were alright and if we needed anything. I would very highly recommend going here and will definitely be coming here again.

   I have been looking forward to coming here for some time. I like Nepalese food and the service has always been exceptionally friendly. Unfortunately the GK didn't live up to our expectations. Most unusually the service was functional rather than friendly, our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable when trying to explain some of the dishes and the staff seemed a bit preoccupied by having a couple of large parties. It is rare to have a moan about poppadoms, but you have to have a basket of 4, yes really, and they come with a meagre portion of chutney, mint yogurt and onion salad, so you will more than likely need to ask for more. The Gurkha beer and house red were very good, there are other beers but the wine list by the glass is limited. The Rasilo is their version of a sheekh kebab, it was awful, very coarse ground fatty meat, it seemed to be spiced just with onions, garlic and far too much chilli. It is reminiscent of Pakistani style cooking but tasted as though it had been microwaved. Even if we had enjoyed it the portion was very small for the cost. The mains were a mixed bag. The wife's Balti was very salty and she said the chicken reminded her a Chinese takeaway, rather than an "Indian" restaurant. My Gurkhali dish was OK, it had a bit of a sharp citrus / vinegary edge but wasn't unpleasant. Apparently it is their most flavoursome dish but the Balti had more taste in my opinion. The sides were good apart from the "Farm Foods" fries with an average length of 3cm. With two large parties trying to shout over each other, the noise level was far too high for us to have a relaxing evening, of course they are allowed to enjoy themselves but does it need to include shouting and over the top laughing? We paid up and left as soon as we could.

   Loved starter Onion Pakora very delicate taste. My main Everest Chicken I loved it. Smooth, tasty & enough of a subtle spice kick. Drinks pricey thou. Service for table of 12 bit slow as all mains out thou no rice, nans etc. Restaurant packed

   The new eat-in restaurant is great. The excellent food we have been enjoying as a takeaway is now available in the Gurkha Kitchen restaurant, served up by lovely staff. The Gurkha beer is good too. Highly recommended.

   Post Panto meal Xmas Eve. Selection of mains and sides for 3 adults 2 children. Meal collected (still very hot when arrived home). Excellent food. Chicken Tikka Biryani was "exquisite". Yet again another 5 star eating experience courtesy of GK.
