Food arrived 20 minutes late, all freezing cold. Poppadoms were smashed into a thousand pieces, curry was like water and they had the cheek to serve me a single tiny blob of lime pickle in the bottom of a pot.
Very poor takeaway. Ordered for 4 people, we took it home to find they had missed a rice dish, when I rang them they admitted one was missing, then told me to go back to collect, we had started to dish out the meals by this time. I said that they should deliver it, he said it wasn't his fault and put the phone down. The food was very mediocre and warm. A very rude experience, we will never use them again.
Put an order through before 7. Said it would arrive 7.30-750. Nothing had come so dang the restaurant and said it was the wrong mobile so they’ll redeliver. Still waiting and it’s 9pm. Never again would I order from here.
What a place this is! Again, we were passing and thought we’d drop by for a quick starter. And wow we were so impressed. Admittedly an onion bhaji is nothing new but these were in another world. We started with the poppadoms and they were so good that I had two more AFTER the starter. Just the mixed starter. Absolutely loved it. Please go. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere of the place just helps you to forget your worries. Would recommend to anyone looking for an escape and some brilliant cuisine. The staff were so helpful and they have been there a great many years and speak so highly of Retford
Ordered food to be delivered from here last night. Absolutely terrible. Tasted of nothing at all, and the curry was very watery. I don't often put comments about food, but this was so bad. We ordered for 9 people and was very disappointed. Only good thing, was it arrived quickly. Definitely wouldn't order again and can't see how the high reviews are justified.
Lovely food with friendly staff, who will create a dish if you describe what you fancy. Good value. We have been 3 times this month and love it.
Been here a few times and never had any problems, nice food. Ordered some food this evening for delivery at 8.20pm this evening. It was delivered at 7.20 and therefore was cold when we arrived home. I rang to complain and was told we could have a 50% discount on the next order. Upon questioning the cold food that was delivered I was informed they "don't do refunds" and that "its busy, you'll have to order again". Nothing was done to resolve the problem, I understand it can be busy on a Friday evening but businesses still should conform to consumer rights.
Definitely recommended. Had simply an excellent meal, really outstanding. We were there on a Saturday evening -and the place was bustling and busy, but the food still came out in a timely fashion. No less than three different people came by to apologize for the wait (though again, I didn't think we were waiting that long), and to make sure we were OK. I also saw the waitstaff interacting with other customers -they make people feel welcome. No problems with the excellent service here. Just wish it was closer to where I live!
