A gem of a chip shop. Stopped enroute to A1 but will make this a regular stop. Amazing Haddock. Batter light and crispy. Beautiful chips. Friendly staff. Lovely
Ordered three different items. Fish and Fishcake was ok the Scampi was ok. Chips was white only ordered two cone of chips ended up with bag full of chips I had to throw most of them away. Peas and the baked beans were watery not juice at all. To top it off instead of putting fish and chips on one tray, the fishcake with beans on the other tray and Scampi on the smallest tray like a teacup saucer they wrapped everything individually. I had to juggle hand full of items in my hands. Very Disappointed!!
Decent fish and mushy peas, was passing through and spotted this chippy, quick service and a decent lunch at a good price, not expensive at all and spot on.
Absolutely brilliant fish and chips! The cod was perfectly cooked with crispy, light batter, and the chips were golden and fluffy – proper chippy chips! Everything was fresh and piping hot. Service was quick and friendly, even during a busy period. Definitely my go-to for a delicious takeaway. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
Now the nicest local chippy, well done Tickhill. I left a review for the chippy a few years ago and it was not complementary. Here goes NO2: I’ve been back a few times since. This is my advice: they reheat chips from lunch time service & from the night before in my opinion, if you are early buying when service beginning then you get refried chips. Good news if you a bit later in both services then you get fresh chips. Their chips are soft and fluffy in the middle and crisp on the outside. The fish is perfect fully battered so only the batter gets fried and the fish gets to steam through the crispy batter. The shop looks very clean. The chef is definitely a fish & chip expert. The service is good the lady manager could smile now and then, in fact they could all do with a smile course. Great food from a very clean environment!!!

Very nice. Had the dinner time special that was OK. Fish was a bit thin as was the batter. Still edible though. 8/10.
