   Visited Nowka 71 last night for a sit down ! Hospitality in this place A1 Interior and atmosphere very calm and sophisticated, stylish and cosy ! Music was a mix playlist of old and new familiar sound tracks which set such a lovely ambience. Stand out dish for me was the dynamite prawns starter served with a South Indian salad, complimented each other so well, prawns cooked to perfection. too. ! If you’re a foody looking for delicious food and hospitality that makes you want to sit all night in relaxed cosy classy and modern surroundings, then this is the place for you. Well done to the team, and the young chef behind the food. See you soon.

   Our once beloved favourite local Indian restaurant that we will no longer be able to support due to massive price increases. We dined tonight and was told there was a new set menu, for the 2 course option which includes one poppadom (They consider a singular poppadom a course) One main, and one side for £28. (Was previously set at £32 but they advised they’ve had to amend the prices already due to complaints of it being too high). So tonight I paid £28 for a poppadom, a chicken tikka masala and pilau rice, I just cannot justify those prices it’s crazy. The place was dead, we took a walk through Lichfield after dinner and most other restaurants were packed full so I can’t say it’s a coincidence. The food was delicious and service was brilliant as it always is, no faults there. But sadly until the prices are reviewed or they let go of the set menu we will have to find a new favourite Indian, we’re gutted!

   My family & I dined here a couple of weeks ago and, overall, we were not impressed. Although the food presentation is decent, flavour wise, it can be described as nothing more than 'okay'. My biggest gripe however, is not with the food, but lies with the staff and the lack of a satisfactory customer experience. They failed to meet even the bare minimum in service - we were served by disinterested, arrogant staff and the manager definitely has delusions of grandeur. The staff only showed a slight glimmer of interest in us when the time came to pay the bill. To further this, if I'd of known this resturant received the lowest possible hygiene rating of zero stars a couple of years ago, I wouldn't of visited the place at all. Plenty of other restaurants in Lichfield, much more worthy and appreciative of your time and money.

   Came for the first time this evening as a treat before the arrival of our baby in a few weeks time. Portions were generous and food was really tasty! Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed - low lighting and chilled music. Carter was very friendly and welcoming! Food was very reasonably priced! - a wonderful evening and will definitely be returning. Thank you! :)
