   I was gratefully surprised, had the meatballs for starters that were good, but the burger was amazing perfectly cooked and juicy. For dessert I had the Chocolate fondant it was really tasty. It’s a shame that the restaurant was empty (the hotel is under renovation) because the food and the staff are super nice. Give it a chance if you stay in the hotel or pass by.

   Rooms are shabby ,in need of decorating, the bathrooms are very poor with cracked and dirty tile grout. The bed linen is and quilts are worn and thin. Very disappointed.

   5* #1 in Leeds? Joking surely. I had bought in smooth Duck 's Liver you could eat anywhere; smoked haddock (the girl next to us at breakfast had a bigger piece) was overcooked and served on greasy stir fried onions, leeks and peppers when the menu said green vegetables; covered on bottle bought mustard sauce you get on hot dogs served with overdone roast new potatoes. Desert was vanilla brûlée sans sugar coating., the best thing was the ice cream served with it. The serving staff were lovely though.
