Lively pub popular with locals. We didn't stay for more than one as prices seemed on par with other restaurants bawtry had to offer so we opted to go somewhere quieter with more intimate atmosphere and service
3/5 Stars – Decent food, but frustrated by menu rigidity Visited Bawtry's Pizzeria & Steakhouse and overall it was an okay experience, hence the 3-star rating. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was friendly, but we ran into an issue with menu flexibility which was quite frustrating. We were really keen to try Andy's Board but needed to request a minor substitution for one of the items. Unfortunately, we were politely but firmly told there was no flexibility for any substitutions at all. As this wasn't an option for us, we had to choose an alternative starter from the main menu instead. The food we eventually received was perfectly decent, but a little more willingness to accommodate a simple request would have genuinely improved our experience. It felt unnecessarily rigid, which stops me from giving a higher rating.
Spent a month in Bawtry for work. I think I had about everything on the menu. The steaks, pizza, and burgers were all good. The burgers are massive. The chimichurri steak frites and teriyaki sirloin were both very good. They have a couples steak special on Tue/Wed - 2 pints or a bottle wine and 2 steaks. Should I be back in Bawtry in the future, I'll be back.
I didnt stay here hence a low room score. I wanted to give a 5 star but the steak was over cooked for my liking but I still enjoyed it. The staff are professional and friendly which made it a comfortable place to eat. Thanks guys.
Everyone in our party of 5 were delighted with their food, voting it ten out of ten! Why have I never visited here before?!! Very friendly staff and attentive.
Excellent service Burger cooker to perfection. Chunky chips delicious onion rings were nice. The only thing was the burger bun wasn't toasted.
Unfortunately myself and a friend had a very unpleasant service last night. We had just sat down at the table and was asked to order as soon as possible as they had a party of 80 people coming in. Within 30 seconds we had 3 different waiters come over to the table and ask what would we like to order, we had only been sat down 2 minutes! We were then told we couldn't have pizza due to the party ordering pizza. I then asked for garlic bread as a starter but couldn't have that either as that was classed as pizza! Surely I should have been told all this when I booked the table. After all that the party of 80 as far as I'm aware didn't show up!. I don't agree with prioritising one customer over another everyone should be treated the same.
Went for a meal here last night, with family and wow the food was amazing. Not often I'm defeated by a meal, but the burger won last night that's for sure. Great quality food and Big portions. Can't wait to go back.
