For the final review of 2024 with The Chippy Tour, I visited Queens Drive Fish and Chips. The shop is housed in a stand-alone building with a small car park to the rear and plenty of street parking nearby. A disabled access ramp leads up to the entrance, and there is a separate restaurant area apart from the takeaway. The property was clean and well-maintained both inside and out, and the staff were friendly and polite. I ordered the large haddock, which came in a light, crispy batter with just the right thickness and a lovely flavour. The Irish curry sauce was excellent, with a perfect consistency, while the mushy peas—vibrant green—were sweet and tasty. The onion rings were decent overall; however, a few were a bit dry, though the thicker ones retained some moisture. The scraps, while slightly greasy, paired nicely when mixed into the curry sauce. The fish cake was dense, flavourful, and well-prepared. The only disappointment was the chips. Unfortunately, they were limp and lacked flavour, which was a shame considering the otherwise enjoyable experience. First time eating in this establishment and it won't be the last. Decent portions and the kids eat free with every adult meal is a good deal. Service was fantastic and we wasn't waiting long at all. *Update to original review from 2yrs ago. Come here on a regular basis for takeout, everything always spot on. Easily the best Fish and chips Restaurant/Takeaway in the area.

Good customer service. Staff are friendly and really well presented Quality of fish is good but the quality of frying varies. Often the fish is battered that lightly its not there which results in a,dry fish. They need to be more consistent
