   Our friends and us; a party of four, visited The Garrison on Friday 10th October. Every table was occupied and we can understand why. The welcoming atmosphere and the attentive staff make this eating venue stand head and shoulders above other nearby eateries - this restaurant is phenomenal. The food is absolutely sublime and being home-made makes it that bit more special. The value for money is exceptional and the experience of eating in this “Come Dine With Me” winner 2024 makes it fantastic. Until you’ve eaten here, you’ve not experienced the wonderful ambience that this restaurant has to offer. That, with the locally brewed selection of Ales and Cheeses make this localé just a little bit more than special.

   Blown Away by The Garrison, Wickersley! ​I honestly can't say enough good things about our recent meal at The Garrison, Wickersley. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. ​The restaurant itself is incredibly cosy, and the entire team was just amazing and attentive. A huge shoutout to Joss, who was absolutely brilliant! Due to a last-minute business trip to Sheffield, we needed a table, and he went above and beyond to fit us in and was so helpful in explaining the menu. ​The food quality truly blew me away. Everything tasted superb, proving the dedication to using fantastic quality local produce. The presentation of every dish was top-notch—real eye candy! ​If you're looking for an unforgettable meal with incredible service and a warm atmosphere, you have to try The Garrison. ​We were absolutely delighted and we'll definitely be back soon!    Homely. The general feel of the restaurant is very cosy and homely, and the food matches. Everything we had a very homemade feel and was very comforting. There was nothing particularly bold, but it didn't to be. It was good food done well. I would definitely recommend and there's something on the menu that everyone can enjoy. The service added to the relaxed atmosphere, with the staff being extremely nice, friendly, and laid back which was very pleasant and refreshing. We did receive the wrong food at first, but this was quickly addressed. We also received the wrong bottle of wine which we also noticed half way through it, and none of the wine we had was particularly good either. But this minor and didnt take away from the experience. Overall it was a very nice and for a casual evening out I would definitely recommend.

   Been here four times now over the last year or so and it seems to be getting better and better. I tend towards the specials and the pork tonight was gorgeous. Team are very friendly and accomodating. Brilliant small and friendly local good quality food place that visibility takes pride in what they do. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

   We ate here last night and it was the best meal out we've ever had. Hats off to their chef!! All 3 courses were outstanding, the service fantastic (thank you Joss and his colleague) and the cocktails again were the best we've ever had. This restaurant has recently won best in South Yorkshire and it's very easy to see why. I would 100% recommend anyone and everyone to visit this place.

   We visited The Garrison for our date night and we weren't disappointed. It wasn't too busy so were given the choice of where we wanted to sit. Our server Mark took our drinks order and talked us through the specials. We ordered food and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. It's a small restaurant but you don't feel like your sat on top of each other. You're pretty close to the kitchen so get to smell the food cooking and it smells incredible! It's a restaurant only so no noisy drunk revellers! Our food came out in good time and was really delicious. We couldn't manage the full 3 courses but thoroughly enjoyed what we had. The food was well presented and really tasty. Mark was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. After dinner we enjoyed our drinks on the terrace outside. They provide blankets but thankfully it was a warm evening. It was a really lovely evening, the food was great and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back!
