We have recently tried this as it's within walking distance. The staff are friendly and the food presentation is excellent. It's licenced so drinks on tap. We've booked for Christmas day as we like the place enough to try something different from the norm!

Came here with friends and spent alot of money, Would I go back? Not really. A friend who lives local swears by this place, but can I be that enthusiastic like him? No. I found a nice welcome but that's it. The waiter who served us i found rude and came out with comments that I didn't feel happy with. As for food, I asked for naga vindaloo as I like it hot, chips, fried rice and special naan. Curry wasn't as hot as I'd liked and maybe they should have asked how hot i liked it but, i presume they thought i was a casual eater. Yet again after another rude comment by the staff I was getting more pissed off but didn't say anything. next my special naan came out late and was burnt. Not worth the money. Im going on first experience with this place and after a friend bigged it up I'm not sure im rating it above 3. Starters are tiny too. Make up your own mind.

Excellent all round, and some of the best Indian food in the Midlands outside of Leicester. Everything you expect from a good Indian food place. Options on the menuto just ask for something custom which is especially great as a vegitarian, giving me access to a variety of paneer or veg curries which is not matched by many Indian places.

Called in for a curry without making a reservation the front of house made me welcome seated me and the wife quickly and attended our requests for drinks. The waiter was really friendly and we struck up conversation about day to day. I have eaten at the Miraj in the past and all the time they seem to be changing the decorations and making improvements and adding to the ambiance and atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to dine. The waiter bought over the menus and we chose our dishes I made a special request for my Chicken Jalfrezi to be cooked in a certain way and the wife had a korma with sides, keema nan. I can honestly say top marks to the chef it was the nicest curry I have had in a while, all presented hot and tasty washed down with a refreshing pint of cobra. The staff were polite and attentive asking how the food was and offering complimentary drinks at the end of the meal. I will definitely be going back for a meal soon and recommend this restaurant for a nice setting and meal.

Delicious kebabs as starters, definitely recommend that! Also the mains are absolutely perfect! Also nice beers and naans.

Regular customers at the Miraj. The impeccable service from everyone of the guys here is second to none. You are made to feel very special on every visit and that service keeps us coming back. Not to mention the amazing food on offer, I have never had a bad dish from the Miraj. Itβs secured top spot as our favourite place to eat out. A truly excellent restaurant.

A great experience at The miraj - the food, the service, staff and atmosphere was electric, but a big thumbs up to James, he made us an exemplary cup of coffee. It was so nice we all had 2 each. Great stuff.

Didn't have a great experience here on new year's eve, when we got there and it was a set menu (no mention on their website or when I phoned to book) with a very limited selection for Β£27 (in hindsight we should of turned around and left) Food was average, felt they just made big batches of food and reheated it when needed as it was a set menu 3 members of the party didn't have anything from the set menu (2 young children shared a chicken nugget meal and 1 other had an omelette meal) the staff kindly agreed to make these One other member of the party was a diabetic and the currys on the set menu all had sauces, she asked if she could have another dish (dry dish) and again they kindly agreed So far not a terrible experience but not great The worst part was when the bill came, they tried to charge us the full price for the set menu plus the additional cost of the dry dish which was ordered as a replacement for one on the set menu. When we questioned this they didn't acknowledge their mistake but told us its correct, one set menu price per person and additionals are extra, obviously we rejected this, we weren't going to pay for food we didn't have, they were very persisted that they were right and had to pay, at one point there were 3 of them round us all backing each other up, it was quite intimating, we stood our ground and felt everyone in the restaurant was looking at us but in the end they reluctantly backed down and took the additional dish off the bill and we paid for what we had, a very upsetting experience and not one you want when you go for a meal with family on NYE. Obviously from our experience we won't be going their again
